BEN:
We head into the main room and I look at the table and it's empty, "lads the girls aren't here?" They look around and James, Jordan and Phil say they can't see their Mrs either. All of a sudden we see Becca tuning towards us. "Babe, what's happened?" Phil says as she reaches us, she looks at us and says "I'm sorry lads it's Bella" my heart stops, we all look worriedly, she continues "someone barged past her and knocked her down the stairs. They've taken her straight to hospital, we didn't have time to come and get you. I'm so sorry Ben" Phil hugs her and I say "don't apologise Becca, thanks for telling me."
Mason, Dec and I run over to Gareth, as soon as we get over to him he says "I've heard what's happened lads, go to her. Give her my love and I'll check in soon to see how she is. I'm sure the lads will be along too." We thank him and head out to the door, James, Jordan and Phil, say they'll let the others know and they'll bring our stuff with them, and ask us to let their Mrs know they'll be along soon.
We arrive at the hospital and get taken to her room, we get to the door and she's awake and talking to the girls. I run in and give her a kiss and cuddle, Mason and Dec give her a cuddle too. "How are you Bella? And is Baby okay?" She smiles "baby is absolutely fine. Me, however I've broken my wrist, bruised my ribs and cut my head. I'm okay, it could be a lot worse" she giggles. We all just look at each other and I know this has upset her a lot more than she's letting on.
An hour and half later, the nurse comes in and tells us quite a few visitors have arrived is it okay for them to come in. We say yes and a couple of minutes later, the door opens and the boys run in to hug Bella. "I'm fine, thank you all for coming though" Jack laughs and says "girl if you were fine you wouldn't be in a hospital bed with your wrist in a cast" we all laugh and agree.
By 8:30, the doctor says we can go home but have to make sure she rests for next few days. We get home, Mason and Dec said they'll come round tomorrow to check on her.
I lay in bed next to Bella, she's not said much since we left the hospital. "Baby, talk to me please. I'm worried about you" I say and I hear her sniff and start to cry. She then says "I nearly damaged my baby, I couldn't protect her. I should've done more." I hear the hurt in her voice through her toys, I hold her tighter and say "it wasn't you're fault baby, but you and our little girl are okay. You just need to rest." She just lays and cries, eventually she falls asleep. I lay behind her and cuddle her, soon sleep takes over for me too.
-The next morning-
Bella's still in bed, she's awake but she's just really shook up about yesterday. I take her a tea to the bedroom and say "morning babe, I've brought you a tea up. How are you feeling?" She shrugs "fine" I take a deep breath and know she's just hurt and not meaning to be blunt and rude. I hand her the tea and then say "are you getting up baby, I'll make you breakfast" she rolls over and says "no just leave me alone Ben" I walk away and shut the door, hearing her get up and lock it.
I head downstairs and sit in silence, 2 hours later, I head back upstairs and knock the door, "babe, please let me in, I want to help you. I know yesterday scared you and it's left you shocked, but baby is okay and so are you, please let me look after you." I sit outside the door. I hear her say "just go Ben, you don't know how I'm feeling, there's nothing you can do, I don't want to talk to you, what part of leave me alone don't you get!!" Tears fall down my cheeks, as I walk away after telling her I love her. I sit on the sofa and cry, after 15 minutes I'm took out of my thoughts by the door knocking.
As I open it I see Mason and Dec the other side. They instantly look at me and Dec says "Chilly what's happened lad? Why are you crying?" I go to talk but only tears come out. They both hug me and we go inside, once I've calmed down I say "Bella's locked herself in the bedroom, she hasn't spoke since we got home. I've asked her what's wrong and to open up to me but all she says is for me to go, she doesn't want to talk to me, I don't know how she's feeling. She blames herself for what happened. I don't know what to do. I took her a tea this morning but she's been in there over 2 hours." They look at me and then Mason says "I'll go talk to her, Dec you okay to make Chilly a tea?" Dec agrees and Mason heads up to Bella.
BELLA:
I lay in my bed, I'm in so much pain. All my tablets are downstairs, but I can't get them. I lay here holding my bump when I hear a knock at the door. I don't say anything then I hear Mason, "Bells I know your awake, please let me in" I sigh then reply "I don't want to talk Mase. Please go downstairs" I hear a small giggle from him and then he says "I've never listened to what you've asked me at all during our lives, it isn't going to change now. I'm your big brother, if your upset and hurting it's my job to try and make it better. Let me in then we can lock the door again if you want." I stand up and open the door, groaning in pain as I move, hoping Mason didn't hear, as i open the door he hands me a packet of tablets and a bottle of water. "Take these, I know your in pain, I heard you" I smile and take them. Once we've at down, he says "what's going on Bells?" I look at the floor and say "I didn't mean to be horrible to Ben." He smiles "he knows you didn't but he wants to be there for you. We all do." I take a breath and say "last night every time I fell asleep I had a nightmare that it was happening again. I couldn't protect my baby Mase, and truth is I haven't left the room is because I don't want to go on the stairs. I can't do it. I'm petrified that I'll fall again" I'm now sobbing, he holds me tight and says "we won't let that happen, I promise. You protected your baby, she's fine. What if all of us 3 lads came down the stairs near you so you don't fall, you can have one of us either side and one in front of you to help. Does that sound okay?" I nod "okay, do you think they'll mind" he laughs "of course they won't"
