MASON:
Bens flight landed at 8am this morning, I made an excuse on why I've had to leave. Only Dec knows Ben is coming and he's stayed at home to make sure Bella and Summer are okay.
I park up and see Ben waiting, he gets in the car and looks so broken. "Thanks for letting me come out here" he says and I say "despite how broken she is, my sister loves you lots, and I know she needs this too but I need an explanation first. What the fuck lad?" He looks down and says "I fucked up, but I swear down I didn't cheat on her" he doesn't look up I say "okay, so what happened with the woman you left with? You clearly had the intention to go elsewhere" I'm quite angry and I realise he's crying, "I thought about it, I suppose it was a don't know what you have until it's too late. The woman kissed me but I pushed her off as as soon as her lips touched mine, I realised it wasn't what I wanted. I wanted Bella and I still do, I ran from the woman's place and found a bar and drunk more. That's why I didn't go home, by the time I sobered up in a hotel room, I realised the pictures of me and the woman were everywhere, I then saw Bella's calls and texts and knew she was hurt. I should've fought for her then but i was reading the comments and some were saying they were better off without me and I believed them. By the time I got home, the girls were gone and I've been at home broken since, I've typed a text to Bella loads of times but never knew what to say, I've wanted to call but didn't think she'd answer. Then I saw her post about still loving me and I knew I had to try" by the time he's finished he's sobbing. I'm shocked by what he's said, and I'm not quite sure what to respond, as I see he feels bad for it but I also feel angry at how he admitted his intentions with the woman. "Did Bella not make you happy?" I ask and he looks up for the first time and says "she is my happiness, her and Summer they're everything to me and I pushed her away and fucked up." I stay staring at him and ask "do you love Bella?" He nods "with everything I have." He cries. I put my hand on his leg, "let's go to Bella" he offers me a small smile and says "I'm sorry Mase, I hope you'll be able to forgive me" I nod and say "it's not me that needs to forgive you, it's Bella." He nods and looks out the window.
BELLA:
I'm in the garden by the pool with Summer,  I hear the door open and presume Mason is back. I don't think too much of it. Then I hear a voice I didn't expect "Hey Bella" I look around and see Ben, Summers smiling at him. I pick Summer up and say "let's take you to see Daddy" I see Ben smile as we walk closer, I'm holding back the tears of seeing him. I hand him Summer and he looks at me and says "can we talk?" I shrug and say "in a bit, spend time with Summer first" he nods and I rush inside to my room with tears falling down my cheeks, passing the others calling my name. I close the door and break down to cry, soon the door opens and I hear "Bells it's okay" Mason cuddles me, "that's where you went this morning wasn't it?" I ask and he nods "he called me yesterday, I made him explain it all to me before I brought him here. I know he's hurt you, he's hurt himself doing this too. There's no justifying his actions but he wants to explain." I nod and say "I'll talk to him" Mason tells me him and the boys will take Summer to the park, while we talk.
15 minutes later, my door knocks "come in" I say and Ben walks in the room, I notice now, how broken he looks. I pat the space on the bed for him to sit down. "Bella I'm so sorry, for it all. I want to be completely honest with you, I only kissed that woman, but that was it as soon as our lips touched I felt guilty, I realised i couldn't ever want anyone else but you. I pushed her away and left. I never done anything else with her." I nod and then say "you wanted to though?" He looks at the floor, "I thought I wanted to, I thought about it but in reality, I never wanted to." I nod again "why do it in the first place. You push me away all day and then go with some woman that night" I'm getting tearful and so is he. Ben tells me that we'd been more distant from each other and having a rough patch, he got drunk and she showed him attention. "There's no justifiable reason for what I did Bella, but I'm so sorry and I'll never do it again, we'd not been great, and I know that was my fault, I stopped therapy and was struggling and pushed you away, the alcohol mixed with me thinking you didn't love me or see me that way, her showing affection and being in self-destruct mode. I fucked up. I'll never stop trying to show you how sorry I am" he says "one last question, why did it take 5 days to contact me?" I'm dreading the answer but he says "I was guilty, after running out on the woman I found a bar and drunk so much I ended up passed out in the hotel rooms they had, by the time I woke up sober the pictures were out and I saw your texts. I felt so guilty and horrified I thought you didn't want anything to do with me, you were gone by the time I got home. I wanted to call or text so many times, but I didn't think you'd want to speak to me. I've booked back with my therapist, I spoke to her over the phone while I was at the airport. Are we over for good?" I hold his hand "I hope not. But healing is going to take a while." I take my engagement ring off and he cries again. "We need to build us back up, when we're back to a good place I'll happily put this back on and I'll keep it on a necklace around my neck all the time. But we need to start from basics, going out on dates, building the trust and working on us. I'll stay with Mason for a while when we get home. You can see me and Summer whenever you want but we need to do this gradually, I'll always love you. Give it a few weeks and we'll be in a much better place" he nods and says "I get it, I do, and I'll do anything it takes to get our family back together. Can I cuddle you and give you a kiss?" I smile and nod. While I'm cuddled in his arms, I hope I've made the right choice here.
