Chapter 10

"You are perhaps the dumbest person, I have ever met, in my entire life!"

"Yeah, well news flash idiot, I'm you! So that ought to tell you a few things!" the two were having a full-on argument as they walked back to the dorms.

"Oh trust me, I am aware. It's clear that I got all of the intelligence when we split!"

"Yeah, well I least I got empathy, and at least a sliver of actual human emotions! You're just a robot!"

"If that's what it takes to get through life, then I will gladly live without emotions. All they do is get in the way, and get us hurt!"

"No, they..."

"Young Todoroki! Good afternoon." Of all the times for him to run into All Might, it had to be now?! "Did Mr. Aizawa let you out of class early? My! What happened to your hand?!"

"It's uh... nothing. We... I wasn't feeling well, so he let me head back to the dorms."

"I'm sorry to hear that. Let me walk you back. I was heading in that direction too." They began walking again. "Were you talking to someone just now? Sorry to interrupt."

"Oh, no sir you're fine. I was just..."

"Talking to myself, like a crazy person!"

All Might frowned. "You are not. Helping!" he whispered.

"Todoroki?" they stopped outside the common room. "Are you all right?"

"Y- Y- Ye-" he tried so hard to respond, but Shoto wasn't letting him.

With a push, Todoroki gripped the sides of his head as Shoto took over. "N-no. No I'm not..." he looked up at him with tears in his eyes.

"Why don't we sit down..." All Might led them over to a couple chairs.

Shoto sat there and stared at his feet.

"I'm here when you're ready." All Might assured.

"Don't tell him anything," Todoroki whispered.

"But maybe he can help us?" Shoto whispered back.

"Or he will just tell father, and make things worse."

"Or maybe he knows someone who can fix us!" with this, he stood up and yelled.

"Todoroki..." he looked back down at All Might. "You're worrying me..."

He sat back down, "I'm sorry sir."

"Sorry, All Might."

"Can you tell me what is going on?" he asked.

"I... Todo?" he asked.

"Do what you want. If you want to ruin our life, I don't care anymore."

"I... I'm sorry for bothering you, sir. I'm just feeling under the weather. I think I'll go lie down..."

"Todoroki!" he called after him, but he had already stepped into the elevator.

"You didn't tell him... Why?" He didn't respond, instead, he sat down on the floor, and began to cry. "Sho?"

"I couldn't live with you hating me..." he sniffled. "Ever since we split... until recently, you're the only person I've had to talk to. I know we're the same person but... you're my only friend."

"Sho I... I didn't know you felt that way... Sho? Sho...?"

The door opened and he stood up. "Not right now Todo..."

All Might stood in the common room, not sure what he had just seen. He contemplated on whether or not he should go talk to Todoroki. He didn't have all the facts, so he feared that if he went to him right now, he would do more harm than good. For now, he wanted to go talk to Aizawa and see if he could figure out what was going on.
