00. little sister

RHAENYRA DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO FEEL when Alicent gave birth to her younger sister, daena. The screams echoed through the hallways of the red keep as many maids seemed to be panicking 

Rhaenyra was a few meters away from the other chambers as It had been 10 months since Viserys and Alicent's wedding, and the green queen had just given birth to a baby girl Daena.

When alicent was too sick to talk to, Viserys handed baby Daena to Rhaenra to look after while he attended a council meeting. That whole night, the only thing you could hear from the princess's room was giggles and laughter 

When Alicent heard of this, she immediately wanted her daughter back, Daena did nothing but sob as they took her back, and Alicent had to personally feed her in order for her to calm down

Rhaenyra knew why Alicent demanded this, She knew that somehow Alicent knew the truth. as Daena aged, so did Rhaenyra, but that never stopped the two from sneaking past guards to meet up in each other's chambers

Rhaenyra was happy Alicent had not given birth to a son; she was happy her claim was still firm until it wasn't, and Daena's younger brother Aegon, was born

Daena loved her brother Aegon; she loved to hold him, Play peek-a-boo, and give him her old dragon toys she grew out of.

Daena over her childhood bonded with the wild Grey Ghost who landed in front of her when she visited th filds of the kingswood

when it Aegon's second name day, little Daena was four and was going on five. she was rarley seen far from Rhaenyra but when Rhaenyra ran off without her. She was raraley seen far from Baby aegon who loved his sister 

 Aegon refused to sit with his mother and the ladies around her and instead stayed with Daena the whole time winning over the courts hearts

Daena was also excited for her new baby sibling. Her mother alicent was pregant again. little daena did everything she could to help her mother be comfortable. Her father the king viserys wasn't tha great

Daena didn't blame him. He lost his wife and son but she still was hurt when he barley recognized her and somtimes called her baelon. which was strange to her considering she was a girl. It shows how innocent her mind was.

Rhaenyra and Alicent soon began to get pregnant at the same time with Jacaerys and Aemond, Daena didn't know who she should visit first but one thing she did know was how beautiful both of them were 

she admired a lot of people and lot of role models, even daemon Targaryen was one of them for his bravery. Daena was a gem in the red keep, as any maid or guard who walked by her always were seen with a smile when they passed her 

Her heart was fluttering when Lucerys and Daeron were born, She loved them both a lot and was rumored to have been the one to give them both their dragon eggs.

she was always known for saying stupid things, like her sister Helaena. However, she also said stupid things, like her brother Aegon. People didn't know what to say when talking to her. she always had a fear of bugs, however, but regardless, she always sat with Helaena in the garden when Helaena was a toddler.

when Daena was one and two she used to go in the depths of kings, sneaking out alot. she nevr went to the streets of silk but rather the library or the orphanage. she liked to play with the kids there who had no clue who she was as the princess.

she loved sometimes bringing them food and coins while they played along with toys, which they used a lot. she was sad whenever she found out they were adopted or just decided to leave King's Landing but regardless, she was happy when they left the awful streets.

she also liked to visit the King's landing graveyard for small folk. She liked to leave flowers by each grave considering it was a small graveyard. She left at least one flour there every month when she could visit families of the graveyard often confused to find the flowers but nonetheless think its sweet on whoever the secret giver is.

hence she earned the nickname Daena the Darling from many smallfolk. whenever she went outside the palace under guards with her family people gatherd near and far to get a glimpse of her.

she enjoyed the spotlight but sometimes she also enjoyed spending time alone or with someone quiet to spend the time with. People like Helaena or Aemond 

Aegon on the other hand knew how to push her buttons which shocked herself thinking she didn't have any. Regardless, she still loved her brother, even wen he was drunk in her room at earlier hours of the night. Always resulting in Daena sending him away 

Daena was the only thing keeping the family together. If something happened to the sweet princess, War will only stir.
