DAENA DID NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO HER BROTHER. what she wasn't ready for was to see his eye missing. She knew Aemond was a fool sometimes, but he was smarter than that
Daena stood next to Aegon and Helaena as they watched the Maester sew Aemonds eyes closed, Daena looked over to see Lucerys's bloody nose and both Baela, Rhaena, and Jacaerys with dirt on their face like they had all been in a cat fight
She felt bad for Rhaenyra's little boys and Daemon's twin girls. They didn't deserve their parents. They were young. too young to be caught up in her mother's and half-sister's petty fuel.

"How could you allow such a thing to happen?" Viserys asked from his seat "I will have answers" He demanded the guards
"The princes were supposed to be abed, My King" The guard informed him
"Who had the watch?"He asked again as he looked at his wife and son annoyed "The young prince was attacked by his cousins, Your Grace" Ser Criston told the king
" you swore oaths to protect and defend my blood" Viserys yelled "I'm very sorry, Your Grace. The King's guard has never had to defend princes from princes, Your Grace" Harold told him
"That is no answer!" Daena found it funny watching her father argue the guards "It will heal, will it not, maester?" Alicent asked
"The flesh will heal But the eye is lost, Your Grace" Maester Kelvyn told the worried mother, this caused anger to boil as she turned to her two eldest children
"Where were you both?" Alicent asked "Us?" Aegon asked "Mother we-" Daena was cut off by the slap of her mother on her check as daena's head moved to hide her face from her mother as Aegon spoke up
"What was that for?" Aegon said obviously hurt "That was nothing compared to the abuse your brother suffered while you were drowning in your cups and hiding away in your chambers , you fools" she told both her children before releasing them
