The Perfect Place

Connor's POV~

My whole day of school was just horrible ever since that asshole guy did what he did this morning. I seriously hate that guy. I swear if he comes near her I will probably black out, and I wouldn't regret it one bit.

After school finishes I walk back to my dorm, I don't even know why I'm upset, Jen doesn't like him, she likes me. I don't have anything to worry about, so why should I doubt her. I pretty much ignored her all day too, which I feel bad for. It's not like she did anything wrong.

After a while of thinking deeply I decide to text Jen and see if she will come over to hang out.

Me: Hey Jen, I'm sorry for ignoring you a lot today, I've just been upset over that whole thing this morning, when I shouldn't be. I know you don't like him, and I don't doubt you, so I apologize deeply for doing that. Will you come over and hang out? ❤️

After a few minutes I get a reply

Jenny<3: Its okay Connor, don't worry about it. You also don't have to worry about me liking that nasty ass guy ❤️ yeah I'll be over in 5.

I smile and text back "okay ❤️❤️" and get ready to answer the door. Within a few minutes I hear a knock on my door and walk over to answer it. I see Jen and her big brown, beautiful eyes, and I immediately smile. Gosh, she makes my day just by looking at her.

I grab her hand and pull her into my arms.
"Heeey" she says, muffled in my chest.
"Hey boo" I pull away and just zone out staring at her.
"Um..are you okay?" she says in a uncomfortable tone. I snap out and come back to reality
"Yeah..I'm fine..what would you like to do?" she stands there and thinks.
"hmm...I think I have something I. mind, but it's a surprise." she smiles brightly and takes me hand and leads me out of my dorm.

We get into the parking lot and get into her car. I have no idea where were going, but knowing her, it won't be boring.

We've been driving for about 45 minutes and then she pulls onto the side of the road. Im confused, were in the middle of no where. She then takes out a blindfold and wraps it around my head covering my eyes and then continues driving. After about 8 minutes later she removes the blind fold and all I see are trees.

"Um..Jen why are we here?" I ask. She ignores my question and gets out of the car and rushes to my door to open it. I get out and she immediately grabs my hand and starts walking straight into the woods. We walk for about 5 minutes in silence and we stop. She moves to the left so I can see and I'm literally shocked. There's a beautiful small pond with a tiny waterfall flowing down in it, a cabin, and what seems to be a tree house. It's so beautiful I don't even have words to describe how I feel.

"Jen...this place is amazing! How did you find it?"
"My family and I were on a nature walk and I went on a separate route with my brother. I was 7 at the time and my brother was 4. My parents were able to see us it was okay for us to roam around. I came across this place and I instantly fell In love with it. It so calming and relaxing. No one lived in the cabin surprisingly so when I grew up, I took it over. I never showed anyone this place, not even my parents. We're so alike so I decided I should show you cause I knew you'd like it. I come her every so often to just forget the world and relax. It's the perfect place to come to when you need to forget the world for a while. Especially after today, I wanted to." she trails off and I can't even form words.
"You did a great job, this place is so beautiful! You're right though, we are alike. I also have a place like this, I'll have to show you sometimes. It is the perfect place and don't worry about that guy." she nods and smiles then grabs my hand again and leads me toward the cabin. We walk inside and all you see are fairy lights and cozy furniture. It's typical Jen to set it up the way she did.

She shows me around the cabin, then we head to the tree house. The tree house is way different from the cabin. The cabin has light colored wood, basically logs stacked up on each other and sealed with cement. The tree house has a dark wood, same kind of theme with the logs stacked up, but it has beautiful streaks of light brown in them. We step inside and I can tell you, it looks bigger inside than it does when you look at it from the outside. There is a white desk, with a bunch of books and sketch books piled onto it, beautiful green and pink fairy lights, a bed with white sheets and blankets with a ton of pillows, paintings of pink and green flowers on the walls, and a wooden coffee table. It's so beautifully detailed, and the furniture just brings it all out.

"This is why I love you. You're so unique." I say and I catch her blushing.
"I'm not unique I'm weird." she says with a slight pout.
"Being weird is unique," I say and cup her face in my hands. "I love weird, and it fits you perfectly. A good weird. You're perfect." I say and stare into her eyes. I lean down and kiss her soft lips. Not aggressive, not rough, just gentle and passionate. She kisses back after a few seconds and I can feel sparks flying and my cheeks burning with heat. After 30 seconds I pull back and peck her lips one last time.

"I love you Connor." she says smiling
"I love you too Jen. Forever and always." I hug her and give a tight squeeze then let go.

We sit in the tree house and chill for a bit, until we decide to go swimming. The pond is pretty deep, it will probably go to about my belly button. We strip into our under garments and head down to the pond. I walk behind Jen because I'm planning something. Once we get there, I pick her up and lift her onto my shoulder.

"Connor! Put me down!!" she laughs.
"Not this time sweetheart."
"But...I love you!" she says trying to get me to change my mind.
"Not going to work haha." I laugh and throw her in the pond without warning.  She falls under water and after a few seconds she rises.

"Connor I'm SO going to get you back for that!" she says with her teeth chattering. I guess it's cold.

I get in and I was right, IT IS COLD. She splashes me five times, getting me soaked.
"You're going to pay for that someday, Jen." I grin evilly. She still continues to slash me and we end up having a splash war.

After about 30 minutes, we go into the cabin and dry off. She apparently brought towels and clothes for us to wear. I put on my clothes and she does the same. We relax on the bed, cuddling and talking until we both fall into a peaceful deep sleep.

I wish I could freeze this moment right here, right now, and live in it forever instead of returning to the world. I don't want to go back to college. I don't want to be with anyone other then Jen, and to be here. She was right, this is the perfect place to go to get away for a while. I force myself to awake so I can watch her sleep for a few minutes. She looks so innocent and peaceful. I will love this girl to the day I die. I close my eyes and after a few minutes I drift back to sleep with image of Jen and I being here, living together in our own little world. It sends a warm feeling in the pit of my stomach and I finally go back into my deep sleep.
