[surpriiiise. I wrote this little blurb for u guys as a sort of thank you (a late one) for the views reaching 600k? That's crazy to me.. this is clearly too small to express how much I appreciate all of you but oh well! Inspiration has been very low these days so I just went back to the basics! Some Edmi fluff♡]

Yawning into her hand, Tomi extended her arms and legs out in the sheets of the Island Mansion's bed, the wind slowly picking up and sloping against her naked back.

She cracked her eyes open slowly, sunshine waving through her lids far too easily to her liking. She turned slowly, feeling the body beside her shift with the movement.

She gazed at the entrance of the room— they'd left the French doors that led onto the beach open, which was why she'd woken up so early, with the sunrise barely coloring the horizon with hues of pungent cranberry red and oranges of pure fire that only Rêve could create.

Then, a twinkle caught her eye, and she gazed at her hand. The ring upon her finger— which laid on top of a cold, cold chest.

She smiled slightly, and shifted to see him better. His hand held her back firmly, sending waves of pinpricks of ice up her warmed, freckled skin.

"Morning, petal." He murmured, nosing at the hair atop her head.

She let out a tiny yawn, fresh tears from sleepiness seeping from her purple eyes. He caught them with his free hand, and brought her face in closer so that he could kiss her cheeks— then her forehead, her nose, her chin. Her lips.

When she finally became a bit more aware of herself and the numbness of sleep began wearing off, tingles of sweet pain began to rise on her skin.

She hissed as he carried a hand to her hips, which still were covered in stretch marks. "My poor girl," he chuckled, cursing his fingers over the indents his fingers had left behind. "Hurts, doesn't it?"

She shook her head, burying herself deeper in his chest, in the smell of him. She inhaled deeply, feeling light and careless for once in her life. "I love it."

"I know you do." He kissed the crown of her head, then slowly began to move them up in the bed.

She followed him, still draped over his chest, and he leaned back against the headboard slowly. It was luck that the bed hadn't broken with what they'd done in it last night.

"Wanna go watch the sunrise?"

"I see it. From here." She sighed in a dreamy voice, grazing her nose against the side of his jaw.

"The view is spectacular from up the beach, though."

She frowned, but didn't argue as he held his hand up for her to take, and began to shift towards the end of the bed.

She followed, if only to get more time in his arms. He walked them into the water, the cold not even phasing the lovers as they got deeper into the sea.

She pushed her forehead in the crook between shoulder and neck, leaving open-mouthed kisses all over the skin she could find.

"Petal," he whispered, more like a prayer then anything else, the hands holding her massaging sunlight into her blessed skin.

"Mh?" She hummed, still trailing her lips up his neck.

"I'm glad it's us." He whispered in the sunlight, sparkling bright as the sun continued rising, higher and higher. "For eternity and more— I am glad it's us."

Tomi paused, and leaned back enough to look into his golden eyes. It reminded her, to look at him like this, of those times she'd prayed— those times where she would beg any God or being to let her see his eyes just one more time.

She smiled, then, all love and adoration, letting out a soft giggle that didn't hurt. "I'm glad it's us, too."
