Chapter-9

Shinichiro pov:

"How are you going to find Wakasa?" Akashi asked, kicking a stone as he walked

"I have no idea" I replied

"How then, are you planning to talk to him or find out anything about him?"

"I have no idea" I replied, disappointed in my lack of a plan "But I did find Benkei"

"No dude, Benkei found you, he saved your ass"

I looked down at the footpath as I walked, trying to think of a plan. I was destined to save everyone, that is the entire reason why I can time leap. So, if I am destined to save everyone, and this is the way to do so, maybe I am also destined to meet Wakasa just like I met Benkei.

"Then maybe Wakasa will find me too" I said and started walking towards the park where I met Benkei

"What do you mean?" Akashi asked and started jogging to catch up to me "wait, where are you going?"

"To the park where I first talked to Benkei" I simply replied and kept walking without another word

I entered the park and looked around frantically, there was something in me telling me that I was right, a feeling that pulled me here told me that this is exactly where I'll find Wakasa. And sure enough, there he was, sitting on a park bench, looking around, his hair being ruffled by the wind.

I told Akashi to wait there and started walking towards Wakasa

"Are you just going to walk up to him and start talking?" Akashi called out after me

I didn't turn to reply, what else was I going to do anyway?

I walked up to Wakasa who was now looking at the sky. I had no idea what to say. He was the leader of Kodo Rengo, one of the strongest gangs, he was probably approached by random people everyday, to him, I wasn't going to be any different.

I racked my brain for something to say and it suddenly hit me, the only thing I could think of that would get me his full attention was the same thing that interested Benkei.

Introductions and polite social skills be damned, I went straight to the point "Wakasa, you should not accept Kiyoshi's offer to join Kyokuryu-Kai"

Wakasa turned to look at me with a surprisingly calm expression "Why not?" he furrowed his eyebrows

I explained everything I had told Benkei and y/n about Kyokuryu-Kai, their plan, and their motives and Wakasa patiently listened to me with an unreadable expression

He motioned to the bench, telling me to sit down next to him and I did.

"Who are you and why should I trust you"

I gulped, his expression suddenly became serious "I'm Shinichiro Sano and I know you don't know me but I knew Kiyoshi gave you that offer, not even your own gang knows that. Which means I obviously know more about him than you do and I can help you. Not to mention, I knew about his plan and still took the risk of telling you" I presented my argument and waited for his reply.

Before he could reply, his phone started ringing, indicating he got a call. He declined it but it started ringing again and I knew he had to go. "I still don't completely trust you but tell me more about this suspicion of yours. I'll be in the church on Christmas eve, my gang won't be there so we can talk"

With that, he left. And I knew that Christmas eve would be the day Ragnarock defeats him. He would be more vulnerable, and he would be alone, if Wakasa is defeated, his gang won't stand a chance against Ragnarok.

I don't know if it was a coincidence or destiny that I actually found Wakasa here but it didn't matter, what mattered was that I could finally prove myself to Benkei and his gang and I could go to a future where everyone is still alive.
