Rain Coming

(I had to change this a little, and I was rushing.. So sorry if it doesn't make sense.)

Ya know how I said it would rain? Well it was definitely going to. But harder than I thought.

So now, I was soaring the skies, looking for a cave to stay in. I saw early that it looked like it was gonna rain much harder and since I wasn't anywhere near my home, I knew that I'd just have to wait it out.

It had looked pretty bad. In the distance, about an hour ago, there were dark clouds and you could see what looked like 'falling mist' ; which was just rain coming down in the distance.

Now the big, bad, fluffy clouds were closer. How much closer? I couldn't tell you, but it was definitely gonna pour soon. Maybe 30 minutes, at most.

*Fee-Fee* My wings were flapping more often than normal for speed. My head was snapping left and right quickly looking down for any kind of cave, hole, protection, and of the sorts.

Finally I spotted a dense spot of trees, I almost ignored it but when I looked up at the clouds, just from a glance I could tell I had about 10 minutes.

I definitely risked it but it was the right choice, since when I flew down there was a cave right in front of me.

"Well.. At least it's something!" The cave was more than likely man-made rather than it having been there naturally. But I didn't really care.

I walked in and saw an old worn out campfire and a few rocks, sticks, and grass pieces laying around the ground.

I walked over to the campfire and felt it. "Completely dry.." I whispered to myself. It would be good to urgently get some firewood for a fire. Since I was going to stay a while anyway.

*Crack-fuee* A fire was quickly started with fresh sticks, dead grass, and a little bit of firewood. *drip-* I looked outside the cave. *drop-drip* It started to drizzle but immediately came to pouring rain.

*Crackle-* As I inhaled the fresh soaked air in through my mouth and exhaled through my nose, I heard a shuffle from outside. *Shuffle* *Mumble* *Crack-* As I swiftly turned around, I saw a silhouette form.

" *Heavy inhale* Kima?!" "W-what are you doing out here?" The person got closer and I was able to identify the person. Once I did, I said "Samuel? SAMUEL?!"

"Quick- Get in here! You're gonna get a cold Sam.- and I could ask you the same." I was definitely confused, I must say. I mean.. Why would Samuel be all the way out here?

“Oh. Heh.. Uh.. I was.. Erm.. looking for you…?” “Wha- Why exactly?” "Uhh.. Cause somethin' happened.."

At this point I was starting to understand. He missed me- "Well, you're already out here so-" *Cough, Cough* "S-Sorry"

"You've got a cold, huh? – Here, take this" I reached into my bag grabbing out a jar. I opened it and pulled a weird leafy root.

Samuel looked at me with a confused look.
"What's that supposed to do?" "Itll help with your cough, possible runny-nose, fever, chills, ect."

He took it, and hesitantly put it in his mouth. Immediately after he started to chew it, he gagged.

"It's disgusting!-" "Eat it." He stopped, regretting his life choices and continued chewing. *Swallow*
