Chapter 16

Gin's POV

Hindi ko maintindihan kung ano talaga yung plano ni Ashton para sa amin. Or are we really an item? Should I just be contented of what we have right now? What will happen after this trip? He's not a marrying type and he claimed me as his property. Dapat ba akong kabahan na? Property means you can have it as long as you wanted to but dumped it when it's useless. I never let my feelings control me before but with Ashton's around I can't seem to find a way out. I stare at my complexion in the mirror; it's actually a wall mirror. Ano na ba ang nangyayari sayo Gin? Hindi ka naman dating ganyan ah... Bahala na muna siguro, for now I'll just laugh at my stupidity and will wipe the tears later on. I'll get over it on my own terms and on my own time.

I step out of the bathroom after I change to my black and white two-piece string bikini and cover it with knitted robe appropriate to the pool party theme. Naabutan ko si Ashton na nakatayo at nakatingin sa glass window while having a glass of brandy. Mukhang malalim yung iniisip, naramdaman nya yatang nakamasid lang ako sa kanya.

"Hmm... well I guess i can't stop you from going there. Give me a minute then.." he said while planting a kiss to my forehead.

We're holding hands as we approached the elevator, I can't help but to smile. Hindi naman masama kung maging masaya muna ako just for the time being. Nang makarating kami sa baba, nakasalubong namin yung isang investor na kausap kanina ni Ash sa meeting. Mataktika kong hinila yung kamay sa kanya and nagpaalam nang mauuna sa pool. I can feel his stare behind my back but chose to ignore it. Hindi naman mahirap hanapin yung pool area.

"Hey... " sinalubong ako ni Dale and kiss me again on the cheeks. I blushed but managed to smile back.

"Hi there Dale,.. You had a habit of kissing someone's you barely know huh?" ang nasabi ko na lang.

"Hahaha. Cheeky., but just a bit", sabay kindat nya. He pulled me thru those thick bushes with a narrow aisle. I can feel the cool breeze soothing my skin. Good thing I've had my robe. Ahhh ang ganda talaga dito, I'm going to be back here I'm sure. After a while, we've reached the pool and guess what? A paradise approached me, I brace myself because of the pair of eyes staring at me. Ang ganda ng pool, para ka lang nasa bali, Indonesia. It seems like a pool was hanging on the lips of the cliff. God, I so love the place.. can't help but to feel the water into my hands, and not to mention the bunch of gorgeous people surrounds us.

"Come, let me introduce you to everybody. Don't worry we're all family here." Si Dale habang papunta kami sa isang cottage. Dustin? Once ko lang naman sya nakita nun sa opisina ni Ashton. Gosh, nakakahiya naman to...

"Oh hi there Gin", Dustin grinned after he recognized me.

"Hi." I smiled consciously. Geez, it's so awkward.

"You already knew each other Dust?" nabiglang sabi ni Dale.

"Yeah. At Ashton's office. Off limit yan dude." He is smiling but more like teasing. Huh?

"Aw." Dale suddenly put his hands to the air, saying "I didn't know. Alright then. I don't want any scratch to my face" , then he smirk. Anyare?

Pinakilala nila akong dalawa sa iba pa nilang kasama and nalaman ko lang din na mga pinsan pala to ni Ashton. They are all devastatingly handsome. Teka, ako lang ba yung babae dito? OMG! Nang bigla'y nagsilabasan yung mga babae sa isang cottage... And they are also breathtakingly gorgeous and beautiful. Wala nga lang akong idea if family din sila or what. Some of them stare at me a bit annoyed for a second but suddenly change the mood when Ashton's appeared from nowhere. He glared at me... What did I do this time?? Hindi ko na lang siya pinansin nang lumapit sa kanya yung isang babae. At ang gagu, kung makangiti sa babae akala mo wala ng bukas. Arggh.. Kung makipaglandian ka eh di ako din.

"Ah.. Gin, this is Shamaine and Lorraine. And of course this little kiddo here is Sasha. Our cousins too. Ladies, meet Gin.. Your Kuya Ash's secretary", pakilala sa akin ni Dale. Parang gusto kong matawa kasi siya yung nagkakandugagang ipakilala ako that in fact it's Ashton's place.

These ladies are too way beautiful than every girls here. Tantiya ko nasa 20 or 21 tong sina Shamaine and Lorraine and they're twins! while Sasha is only 15 I think.

"Hello Gin. What a nice name you have. Parang Gin and tonic lang hahaha. But Oh, you're so pretty". Shamaine said.

"And I love your pixie cut hair. I dreamed of having that haircut. Too bad, our dad doesn't want me to. I look like tomboy daw." Nakalabing sabi naman ni Sasha.

"Well, let's go grab a drink." Sabay hila naman sa akin ni Lorraine. They're too friendly knowing that I'm just their cousin's secretary. Speaking of that bastard, where is he now? He's nowhere to be found. Wag lang syang magkakamaling Makita ko sila ng alipores na yun! Uhg! Ano naman kaya ang gagawin mo ha Gin? Fuck shit! Nakipagsabayan na lang din ako sa mga pinsan ni Ashton kahit medyo naiilang pa ako. Yung mga lalaki panay naman yung kwento sa akin, kung anu ano na nga lang. While Dustin caught my attention when he mention that he has a bar, which really caught me. I've become more interested with him, we almost had a common interest when it comes to pub and bar business. Hmmm I think I can get some ideas with him.

"So Dust, what made you want putting business like a bar? Aren't you into line of architectural work? Wow that was something."

"Maybe because aside from being architect, I still had a blood of being a bastard? Hahaha.. No kidding aside, partying is my passion. That is why. May I know why you've become interested with me? ..." he said grinning at me.

"Hahaha. Touché... Just out of curiosity Dustin".

"Really huh? Mind if you tell me something about yourself?"

"Well, we had same interests as far as I know. I also own a bar back in Cebu. I already had 3 branches also same as yours." I said and shrugged my shoulder.

"Whoah! Now that's a revelation. I knew it, you had a little secret."

"Hahaha yeah.. just a bit. But please don't ever mention it to Ashton.. I-I mean Sir Ashton".

"Hmm I'm wondering why that is?"

"Nothing so serious to make a big deal with"

"Don't worry your secret's safe with me". sabi nya habang kumikindat sabay lagok ng inumin nya. After ng usapan naming, niyakag na nya akong magswimming. Dustin was not a boring companion after all. I took off my knitted robe, I'm already tipsy kaya medyo kumapal na din yung mukha ko. Wala akong pwedeng ikahiya sa katawan ko dahil maka ilang beses na din akong nayayang sumali sa beauty contest but I always refused. It's not my thing.

"Hey gin! Come on now.!" Yakag ng kambal sa akin. Panaka naka kong nakakasalubong yung mga mata ng Greg na tila ba nanghuhusga. Fvck that guy! Oh he's also Ashton's cousin by the way. Papunta na sana ako ng walang ano ano'y may pumigil sa bewang ko. The hands are so familiar to me.

"I only said you can go, but it doesn't mean you're going to swim with that bikini. My cousins are hitting on you. And I'm fvcking hate that idea." Sabay abot sa akin ng robe ko.

"Oh really? Eh kung makipaglandian ka naman dun sa bisugo na yun wagas! At ako hindi pwede?"

"There's a difference on that. I never said those girls they're mine.., it only applies on you sweetheart".

"What?? Your reason is unacceptable and unfair! I won't be just your woman I can choose whoever I want and I like Dustin." Irap ko. Kumawala ako sa braso nya at saka sinabayan ng alis. Ialways belong to myself Ashton, even if my heart belongs to you... Darn it!
