"Y/N L/N, District Four," Y/N announced as she confidently walked towards the array of weapons. There were axes, throwing knives, and daggers, but the spears caught Y/N's attention. They glinted in the bright light, drawing her in. "I specialise in a few weapons, so observe. Do not miss anything."

Y/N grabbed a silver bow first, deciding to work with her least compatible weapon up until the spears. There was a human target a few meters away from her, and red circles outlined the crucial points.

Y/N drew the arrow back, purposely aiming away from the red points. A few Gamemakers chuckled, but Seneca silenced them. He leaned forward, interested to see what Y/N had in store.

Once she shot four arrows, Y/N replaced the bow with throwing knives. This time, she hit the red points with deadly aim. An axe was next. Y/N was excited about this part because this would surely shock the Gamemakers.

Y/N calmly inhaled as she raised the axe above her head. She swung her arms back and threw the weapon. It soared through the air, and a slight smirk graced Y/N's lips as the axe hit one of her arrows, splitting it in two and hitting the target.

The audience gasped in awe, mouths open in shock. Y/N finally picked up a spear, tossing it at the head point of the target with such strength that it toppled over. The Gamemakers clapped and chattered loudly with one another, their eyes shining.

"She split the arrow. Did you see?"

"Amazing."

The man closest to Seneca nudged him, smiling. "Well, she'll make the games interesting, especially after how brutally she attacked her District partner. Don't you agree, Seneca?"

Seneca silently nodded. He stared at Y/N as she walked away, a skip in her step. "She'll make it to the top five, no doubt." He muttered, half to the man and half to himself.

Y/N barely reached the elevator before Cato bombarded her with her questions. "How'd it go? Did the Gamemakers like it? Did the spear go through the target again?"

"It went great. The Gamemakers clapped. And yes, the spear went through the target. I also split an arrow."

"I would've paid to see that." Cato muttered, "Sounds awesome."

"It was." Y/N grinned, brushing past Cato and walking into the elevator. "I'm going back to my room. I've lost precious sleep, and I'm hungry. See you around, Cato."

"Bye." Cato quickly said as the elevator door slammed shut. He exasperatingly sighed, running a hand through his blonde hair. "Why'd I ask so many questions? Stupid!" He hit his head and stormed off, muttering to himself.

Meanwhile, Y/N was calmly leaning against a wall in the elevator, watching the buttons glow as the lift passed each floor. It was going painfully slow, and Y/N was considering getting out and walking up the stairs.

The doors slid open, and the District One girl entered. She clicked a random button and swiftly turned to face Y/N.

The H/C-nette arched an eyebrow. "Can I help you, One?"

"Are you Y/N? The axe-throwing tribute or whatever?"

"Yeah, what's it to you?" Y/N didn't mean to sound rude, but she often spoke before thinking.
