"Will!" Dustin yells as he runs out of the school with Joyce. Lucas and Mike follow behind the boy as they run towards Adeline.
"Addy what's wrong?" Joyce asks as she looks frantically over to Will.
"I don't know," she tells them. "I think it's another episode."
"Will?" Joyce tries to wake him as she comes up to him and puts her hands on his shoulders. "Will? Can you hear me? Will! Sweetie, wake up, it's Mom!"
Max moves to stand next to Adeline as they watch.
"Is he okay?" Max asks the taller girl.
"God, I hope so," Adeline mumbles.
"Will, wake up!" Joyce talks to the boy. "Can you hear me?"
Adeline's body begins shaking as she grabs Max's hand. Her breathing begins to pick up and her palms begin sweating.
Max holds Adeline's hand tightly as they watch Will. It seems like an eternity before the boy finally wakes from his episode.
When he does wake, his breaths come out shaky and he collapses into his mother's embrace.
Adeline lets out a breath she didn't realize she was holding before looking down at her and Max's intertwined hands. She looks up from their hands to Max's face, both of them looking and each other and blushing.
Adeline takes her hand away swiftly and looks
in Will's direction again. Max feels slightly disappointed when Adeline lets go, oddly enjoying the feeling of her hand in hers.
The kids go inside to get their stuff before leaving again, Joyce having her arm wrapped around Will's shoulder as they head to her car.
The group of kids stay at the top of the stairs as they watch.
"Okay, that totally freaked me out," Max states, looking at the car as it drove away. "Did that not freak you guys out?"
"Yeah," Adeline says in a hushed tone. "It did."

"Ugh, this is so disgusting," Max grimaces as she pokes through the trash. "Is this really necessary?"
"What the hell is going on?" Dustin asks as he stares at the group.
"What do you think?" Mike asks sarcastically. "We're looking for Dart."
A few trash bags fly out of the dumpster. "Jesus!" Dustin yells. Max steps back away from the crossfire.
Lucas jumps out of the dumpster and faces Dustin.
"Well, well, well," Lucas trails out as he talks to Dustin. "Look who finally decided to show up. After I drew the short straw. Real convenient."
"Ugh, you stink," Max tells Lucas, moving to the other side of the trash and closer to Adeline.
"Hey," Adeline smiles at her.
"Hi," Max smiles back.
"Hi, Max!" Dustin says, smiling at the girl.
