Adeline was rushing out of the house, messily tying her shoes before leaving the house.
"Bye, Mom and Dad! Love you guys!" Adeline yelled to the kitchen before leaving the house.
"Adeline slow dow-" She cut off her dad as she slammed the door shut and went for her bike. She hastily climbed on and sped down the road.
"Shit, shit, shit. I better not be late," she muttered to herself as she sped to school.
As she was speeding down the road, she heard a loud, revving car engine coming up behind her. She turned behind her to see a blue camaro speeding at her at an alarmingly fast rate.
"Shit!" She swerved off of the side of the road just in time as the camaro raced past her.
"Watch where you're going, Dickhead!" She yelled, although there was no possible way for the driver to hear her.
She let out a frustrated sigh before hopping back on her bike and continuing to school.

When she got to school, she saw the same blue camaro from earlier, which she was surprised to see got there around the same time as her.
She watched the car as the driver came out. A senior boy with a dirty blonde mullet and thin moustache. He wore sunglasses with jeans, a white shirt and a jean jacket, a cigarette hanging out of his mouth.
She gave the boy a dirty look before seeing the passenger door open, revealing Max with a more than annoyed look on her face.
She waited as the boy walked away, calling Max's name.
"Max!" She smiled and waved the redhead over.
"Addy!" She skated over to Adeline. "Sorry about my dickhead of a brother almost running you over this morning."
"Don't worry about it," Adeline told the girl. "It's not like you were the one driving." She smiled and looked over to Max.
Max shrugged, continuing to skate next to her new friend. "I guess that's true."
Adeline looked around, seeing Mike, Lucas, Will, and Dustin standing by the bike racks.
"I'll meet you inside, okay?" Adeline spoke up.
Max looked at her and smiled. "Alright . See you later."
Adeline looked over at the girl and smiled before directing her bike over to where the boys were.
"Why are you Venkman?" She heard Mike ask Lucas from a distance.
"Because I'm Venkman," Lucas responded.
"No I'm Venkman," Mike retorts back.
"Why can't there just be two Venkmans?" Will asks, trying to break the fight.
"Because there's only one Venkman in real life!" Mike says, becoming angry. "We planned this months ago. I'm Venkman, Dustin's Stantz, you're Egon and you're Winston!"
Adeline stops at a small distance away, listening in on the argument. Dusin sees her, giving her a smile and wave. She gives him a small wave back, still listening to the argument.
"I specifically didn't agree to Winston," Lucas tells Mike.
"Yes you did!" Mike yells at him.
"I don't think he did," Will tries to tell Mike.
"No one wants to be Winston, man," Lucas tells Mike.
"What's wrong with Winston?" Mike asks.
"What's wrong with Winston?" Lucas repeats. "He joined the team super late, he's not funny, and he's not even a real scientist."
