"Addy, do you copy?" Dustin asked over his walkie.

Adeline stood up from her desk and walked over to her bed to pick it up. "Yeah, I copy, what's up?"

"Meet me at my house," Dustin tells her.

"W-what? Why?" Adeline asks.

"I have something to show you," he answers.

"Okay, I'm gonna need you to elaborate," Adeline tells him, confused as to what he is talking about.

"Listen, I can't tell you now. Just meet me at my house in like ten minutes," he explains.

"Dustin, it's late," Adeline tells him, looking at her watch which read 9:30. "Why do I need to go over now?"

"Addy!" Dustin yells. "Just meet me at my house! Please!"

Adeline sighs. "Okay! Jesus. I'll see you in a bit."

"Thank you. Over and out."

Adeline sighed before throwing her stuff in her bag and putting on her coat. She slung her backpack over her shoulder and climbed out of the window so her parents didn't see her leave.

She quickly ran over to the side of the house to grab her bike and snuck out to Dustin's house.

=====

Adeline got to Dustin's house right as a car pulled into the driveway. She looked at the car skeptically as she parked her bike. First Dustin got out, talking to someone before the driver side opened and Steve Harrington stepped out of the car.

"Steve?" Adeline asked as she walked over to the car. "Dustin, why is Steve Harrington at your house?"

"He drove me," Dustin answered.

"H-how--of ALL people--do you manage to end up in Steve Harrington's car?" Adeline asked.

"Okay, guys," Steve cut in. "I'm right here. I can hear everything you're saying."

"Okay, none of that really matters right now," Dustin says, walking around the house. Adeline and Steve look at each other before following Dustin.

"Steve," Dustin calls. "Where's the nail-bat?"

"Shit, right," Steve says, turning back around to his car. "Hold on just a second."

"Nail bat?" Adeline questions. "Dustin, what is going on?"

Steve comes back to thw two as they stand in front of Dustin's locked storm cellar.

"Okay," Dustin turns to the girl. "Don't get mad at me, but... I may or may not have kept Dart."

"Dustin!" Adeline yells.

"...And he may or may not be a demogorgon," Dustin finishes.

"Dustin!!" Adeline yells louder. "What the hell!?"

"I'm sorry, okay!" Dustin apologizes. "I just couldn't let you guys find him and then bring him to Hopper to get him killed!"

"Guys!" Steve yells at the two, causing them to look over to the older teen. "Let's just hurry this up, alright?"

"Right, sorry," Dustin apologizes again, turning back to the storm cellar. Steve pushes past the two and stands in front of the cellar, shining his flashlight on it.

"I don't hear shit," Steve tells Dustin.

"He's in there," Dustin assures him.

"You locked Dart in your storm cellar!?" Adeline whisper yells to Dustin.

"What, do you want me to keep a demogorgon in my house?" Dustin whisper yells back. Adeline sighs before turning back to Steve.

Steve taps the door with his bat, but hears nothing. He waits a few seconds before banging his bat on the door to make a louder noise.
