𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 16ᵗʰ
It's been a few days since Bella and Violet left Forks.
The first day Violet was gone, her phone rang nonstop. Sam called, Jared called, even an unknown number called. It was probably Paul.
Each number called multiple times and she didn't answer any of them.
The only one left to call was Emily, who had faith that Violet would come back.
"You okay..?" Bella hesitatingly asked Violet.
At first Violet nodded but then her eyes soon began to water and all her pent up anxiety, fear, and homesickness burst through her calm facade.
"No..! I miss my m-mom and-and dad! And I'm scared to d-death about James getting to us! Getting t-to you! And I-I want this all to be a nightmare! A horrible t-terrible nightmare!!" Violet cried.
Bella rubbed her friend's back in an attempt to comfort her, but it just made Violet cry more.
Thankfully Alice and Jasper had already gotten the two girls to Phoenix, and they were now staying at a hotel, so the girls could actually rest.
"Why don't you take a nap after a nice hot shower, Vivie? It'll make you feel better." Alice smiled.
Violet nodded and got up from the bed, hugging Alice and Jasper before heading to the bathroom.

"I feel awful... she wouldn't be feeling this miserable if it weren't for me..." Bella mumbles.
"Don't blame yourself Bella. Vivie is here because she cares about you." Alice smiled.
"That's right. That's just the type of person Violet is. She'll be okay once everything with James is settled."
Bella hesitantly nods and looks towards her phone.
"I wish he'd call..."
Suddenly Alice is pulled into a vision and Jasper is instantly at her side.

Violet came out of the shower and felt refreshed and calm, but that immediately went out the window when Bella told her that James changed his mind and they had to leave.
Violet nodded and put some clean clothes on when she heard Bella's phone go off.
It was quiet for a moment but then Bella started hissing at someone to not hurt someone else. This caught Violet's attention and she used her powers to listen in on the conversation via Bella's mind.
It's a trap. It has to be... but I won't let her go alone.
Bella quickly hung up and went rummaging through her bag, pulling out a pepper spray can.
"Let's go!" Violet announced, making Bella jump.
"V,—"
"I know, Bells. Let's go get your mom." Violet smiled.
Bella nodded and Violet was about to follow but called for Bella to wait.
Violet ran to her bag and pulled out her only self defense item she had that wasn't her powers.
A taser.
"Okay. Now let's go!"

On the taxi ride over to the ballet studio Violet's phone rang and she looked down at the screen to see it was Emily.
She glanced at Bella before declining the call and instead sending a sweet yet short and slightly ominous text.
"ɪ ʟᴏᴠᴇ ᴀʟʟ ᴏғ ʏᴏᴜ"
"Are you sure you want to come with me?" Bella asked from next to Violet.
"Of course I am. I'll be damned if I let you go alone!" Violet said with determination.
Violet's phone rang again, and once again she declined the call from Emily and shut off her phone.
I'm sorry... If I'm lucky, I'll come home to you guys... if not..? I love you all...
The taxi eventually stopped outside the ballet studio and the girls cautiously looked at the front doors.
This is it. We're heading into the endgame.
The girls proceeded to enter the studio and immediately felt the ominous air tighten around them.

"Tell him how much it hurts! Tell him to avenge you!! Tell him!"
"No! Edward, don't." Bella strained herself to say through her screams.
"No? Okay. Then how about telling him to avenge your friend over there?" James sadistically laughs, moving the camera towards Violet, who'd been thrown harshly against a Mirror.
Bella's face contorted in fear for her friend who was practically swimming in a puddle of her own blood.
"Go on, tell him!!"
Out of nowhere Edward came and shoved James off of Bella, but it didn't take long for James to get back on his feet and pin Edward to the wall.
"You're alone cause you're faster than the others." James states before slamming Edward's head into the Mirror wall. "But not stronger."
"I'm strong enough to kill you" Edward grit out before tossing James away.
Edward ran to Bella and tried to take her away but Bella stopped him. "No! Take V!! She's been bleeding for too long!"
Edward's moment of hesitation was enough for James to grab him and throw him into the windows above the studio.
It took a moment for Edward to recover, all the while James bit into Bella's wrist, causing her to scream out in pain as the venom spread through her body.
Hearing Bella scream seemed to set something off in Edward as he flung himself at James and started attacking.
Edward had the intent to kill James slowly, but Carlisle stopped him.
A choice had to be made, and he had to make the call.
"Edward, choose! She only has minutes left!"
"I'll make the pain go away..."
