(Third person POV)

Toby got up, yawning and stretching. Today, he was going to have lunch with his friends, Simon, Kee, Clara and Pastel. He pulled on his usual black jacket and searched in his chests, looking for weapons, before stopping himself.

What am I doing? We're just going out for lunch together at Clara's restaurant. Toby laughed to himself, but he knew they couldn't let their guard down so easily, after what happened less than 3 days ago.

It still gave Toby nightmares whenever he thought about it. Shivering slightly, Toby went and grabbed a diamond sword, just in case. He also grabbed a flint and steel too, before heading out.

He checked his phone. 8.18 a.m. They still had a lot of time before they met at the restaurant at 11.45.  Toby then decided to go for some monster hunting as he was running low on bones for bone meal for the crops.

"Toby?"

Toby turned his head and saw a figure with an black umbrella over their head. The figure looked up and Toby saw that it was Pastel.

"Hey Pastel."

"I'm still upset about the decision you made. Why let him go?"

Toby cringed a little. They had avoided saying 'his' name after what happened.

"I didn't really have much of a choice, Pastel. He was too powerful for me to contain in the jail. And we can't kill him too for that same reason."

Pastel looked down at the floor. Toby was confused, but then he saw that she was crying.

"Toby, I'm scared. What if it's us next? What if I die...again?"

Toby immediately understood. Twilight and Cloudy had been killed by 'him', and Toby could understand that Pastel was both vengeful after the death of Twilight, and scared as she didn't want a repeat of last time.

Toby looked to his left, unable to find a good response. Just then, he saw Kee running towards them, smiling.

"Hey guys! What's the matter?"

"We were discussing what happened."

Kee's smile immediately faded from his face. "Oh...that."

"Pastel is afraid that it'll happen again. Being responsible for the death of a friend, and yourself." Toby said.

Kee shivered. "It still gives me nightmares every time I think about it."

Same, Toby thought. The sound of the sword through the chest is an traumatic unforgettable experience that no one likes to remember.

Thankfully, Pastel had been saved. But in times like these is when guards should not be let down.

Suddenly, they were all distracted from their thoughts by the sound of a helicopter. They all looked up and saw a familiar helicopter flying through the sky, and it landed in front of them. Two figures waved from inside.

It was Simon, at the driver's wheel, and Clara, sitting next to him.

"Simon! I thought the helicopter got destroyed?" Kee asked.

"We spent all night rebuilding it! Behold! The Flying Banana 3.0!" Simon said with a flourish.

Clara laughed. "That name makes me laugh every time I think about it."

"You guys wanna come in for a helicopter ride?" Simon said.

Toby, Kee and Pastel looked at each other. They instantly got the silent message that Simon and Clara should not be worried too.

"Alright, let's go." Toby said, getting in the back with the other two.

Simon took them for a ride over the entire place, and eventually took another round to drop the rest off at their destinations.

Bit by bit, the other's worries faded away as they soared through the skies, cheering and talking excitedly.

He lastly dropped Toby at the cave as he was going monster hunting. "See you soon, Toby!" Simon said.

Toby waved and went into the cave.

Everyone was blissfully unaware of what was going to happen that would turn their lives upside down...for the second time in their lives.
