(J??? POV)
"Helloo? Are you there?"
I looked into the darkness and saw her looking right at me with a smirk on her face.
The girl that he kidnapped.
The sister of the person who was now severely broken.
Ember Park.
I stared into her purple eyes with swirls. "Yeah, I am. Why are you here in the first place?"
"To report. I've successfully set up all those traps in their base."
Just then, I felt myself being thrown into darkness, and then I heard his voice.
"Wonderful. You're the most advanced amongst every person hypnotised. I had no doubt you could do it."
Just then, I saw Ember suddenly put her face in her hands, and when she looked up, her eyes were back to normal, and her face had anger all over it.
"Of course, this means that the control is lessened..."
"You absolute bitch. Why are you torturing them more, especially Toby after all he's been through?TELL ME!" Ember yelled.
"Well, one would say it's for...the greater good."
"Greater good, my ass! You're just tormenting them more than you did last time!" Ember said.
"Your point?"
Ember fell silent and her head lowered. When she looked up again, her eyes were purple with swirls again, and that sickening smirk was back.
Through this time, I had noticed that Ember could have control over herself as she had the ability to fight back against the hypnosis. However, sometimes it wouldn't last long.
"Go and find them."
"Yes."
And just like that, Ember left, and I just watched.
I couldn't do anything about it.

(Toby POV)
I woke up to the sounds of crickets chirping. I checked the time. 5.26 am in the morning.
I got up and stretched. The treehouse was still holding well. We had built this yesterday after we found out that we couldn't go back to our base.
I climbed down the tree (it was easier now that I had gotten used to my tentacles) and wandered around, trying to get some food before Pastel and Clara woke up.
Just then, I heard a voice behind me.
"Going out so soon?"
I turned around so abruptly I hurt my neck. "Who's there?"
A cloaked figure suddenly stepped out of the woods towards me. I couldn't recognise it.
"I'll leave you alone, but only if you come to the cave as soon as possible." the figure said.
"The cave that Pastel discovered?"
"Yes. That cave. I'll be seeing you soon. Bring the other two with you."
I blinked, and the figure disappeared.
One part of me wanted to go, and find out what awaited us, but another part of me felt like this was a trap to lure us in.
Soon, Pastel and Clara woke up, and I told them everything I had seen and heard. Both of them were surprised.
"It's 100% a trap." Pastel said.
"But what if they have information that could help us? We have to go!" Clara said.
"Remember the cave?! There was a entire swarm of mobs waiting for us! How do we know it's not going to be the same?!" Pastel said.
After a while of arguing, we decided to go. I could hear Pastel muttering,"I will say I told you so when things go south."

After a while, we arrived at the cave. I could clearly see that the left side of the cave has been blocked by the stone that Clara placed.
We then went down the left tunnel and saw the coded door.
"How are we supposed to get through this?" Pastel said.
"Wait, there's something here..." I said, picking up a note. "Code is 6294."
"Then why didn't Clara get through the door last time?" Pastel asked.
"This paper wasn't here when we were here. Someone must have placed it there." Clara said.
"Well, let's just go then." I said, inputting the code. The door swung open with a 'whoosh'.
We were in some kind of tunnel. It has black walls, lined with some red light of some kind.
"Alright, let's keep moving."

(??? POV)
I stood at the entrance to the cave. I really needed some resources for making weapons just in case.
Through the time when I came back, things haven't really been the same. Animals are acting different, and one time I think I saw Kee and Simon wandering around, acting off.
So, now that this was happening, I had to be prepared. I didn't know if anyone else was here.
Just then, I noticed something shining red over the cave, a distance away.
"What the-"
I climbed over the cave and saw the top of it, since it was far. An enormous tower, shining red. It was made of blackstone, a material found in the Nether.
Instinct filled me, and I went to investigate. It was going to be a long walk though, and there were no horses around. This is going to take some time.

(Back to the three survivors)
We reached the end of the tunnel and found ourselves in a large, spacious room. Looking around, we saw some stairs leading upwards.
"This must be a tower of sorts..." Pastel said from Toby's side.
Just then, we heard a sound from the other end of the room.We looked towards that direction and saw someone we hadn't seen since the incident at the burger place.
Kee.
He looked at us. He had some kind of manic smile on his face.
"Shit...what do we do now?" Clara said.
"I'll hold him off, you two run up." Pastel said.
"What? No! We aren't leaving you behind!" Clara said.
"I have a feeling that the enemies you face against aren't going to be easy. You'll need it, good luck guys!" Pastel said as the other two ran up the stairs.
Pastel locked her eye contact with Kee.
"Alright, let's do this."
