#0 - Lets Get Started

A/N I have published the start of this story once before but I wanted to revisit and rewrite what I had! So thank you very much for visiting my story and I hope you love it! I would also like to apologize to my poor boy, Koda. In this story, you take his place in class. (I feel so bad but it works so welllllll)
Fair warnings to anyone reading I don't do any 18+ and put a crap ton of unnecessary details- so have fun!

I'm putting out this first chapter to see how it does, I'm curious to see weather people are interested in my story. :)

**Your POV**

"FIRST DAY!~" Mom yelled excitedly as she drove me to school.

"Not first-day mom, we went over this. It's just the entrance exam. " You sighed

"Ya ya, I know, but I also know you are going to get in just fine!" She paused with something clearly on her mind.
"Mom? You good?"
She patted your hand that rest gently on the center console of the tiny red car your family had owned. The car slowly pulled up to the huge school. "Once you are done with your exam we can talk about it, alright?" She smiled weakly at you.

Giving her a concerned look you nodded, and the two of you got out of the car for a quick hug. "Wish me luck, mom."
"As if you're going to need it." You broke apart the hug. "Promise you'll tell me what's going on once I'm done today?"
She nodded, "Now! Go ace this whole test thing!"

You grinned and turned to the school, it seems a lot bigger in person than in the photos you had seen. Taking a glance at your mom who wore a giddy smile and gave you the double thumbs up. You walked to the starting area, or at least that's where the massive crowd was gathering.

All sorts of kids looked around your age, their quirks looked so interesting. You felt a little out of place from the crowd. Your quirk wasn't at all flashy or noticeable compared to any of these other people. A simple animal control quirk, you had managed to train it pretty well while out on the wildlife reserve your parents ran.
Pretty convenient right? An animal-based quirk out there. It was amazing and quiet. So, so, so much quieter than right now.

You could feel the noise getting to you, so many voices all around. Too many bodies way too close together, and this is why you never go anywhere without headphones. You yanked the pair of headphones out of your pocket. You had managed to convince mom and dad a while back to get you this specific pair, they blended in well with your skin tone, were Bluetooth, and sat around your ear so they wouldn't be falling out while doing any sort of physical activity. Just as you got music going you got bumped into. Correction, you were shoved, a body crashed into you from behind and you braced for the ground, just accepting the fall.

Where was the hitting-the-ground part? Something was wrapped around your arm and pulled you up. In confusion, you stood and followed the tape that stuck to you to a tall dark-haired boy in a baggy T.

He sheepishly smiled, "Sorry about that, got too rough with my pal." He motioned towards the blonde-haired boy who had hit the ground.

"Dude! Why didn't you-" He looked up at you, "Ahhhhh~ I see! You saved this cutie instead~"
The tape shot at the blonde and covered his mouth and a decent portion of his face with it. "Sorry about him," He glared at the blonde, "Someone is learning to be a gentleman." The blonde was trying to rip the tape off his face with struggle.

You awkwardly smiled and waved a hand in front of you, "No it's all good, I wasn't paying attention."
The tape boy you had met went to say something else when a loud voice announced to move into the building for instruction on our first test.
"Uh, see you around?" You said awkwardly to the boys.
"Ya! Hope you do good- uh." He paused, "I don't know your name."
"Oh! it's Y/N, and you are?"
"Hanta Sero, nice to meet you Y/N." He grinned.

The blonde sat up and gasped finally getting the tape off. "I hate you Sero," He looked at you, "I'm Denki Kaminari, nice you meet you Y/N."

"You too, see ya!" You felt a bit better as you followed in with the crowd.  Maybe this wouldn't be too bad after all, your music was put back on to battle all the chatter as you took a seat in the rows.

The rules were simple, take out the point bots. Oh fun, just "perfectly" suited for you. An animal quirk this far in the city. You hoped there would be some sort of strong animal near to help.
There was a commotion down to your right about something, some boy standing. You didn't pay much attention to it, just trying to think of a plan.

**Down at the starting gates for your first exam**

You kept your music playing, trying to hype yourself up for what might happen. Even after being split up the group you were with was still massive.
"ALRIGHTY KIDDOOOSSSS" A loud voice boomed over everyone. "ARE YOU READYYYYYY?!" Not a single person breathed a word, there was silence and a mumble were made, "Party poppers... THE TEST WILL START IN 3  2  1!!"

The gates flew open, and the race for points began.
