#22 - On Display

Tokoyami's POV

He sat on the bed sighing, "I am not dating Yn."
There was a long silence before Sato spoke, "Dude, do you want to be?"
He thought for a long moment, he thought you were pretty, handsome, caring, sweet, fun to be around, he felt like he was on cloud nine just being around you. Your smile, your eyes when you looked into his, the sound of your laughter.
He looked at his friends with a small smile.

Your POV 

You were leaning against the door with Denki as it was pounded on.
"So... how's it going?" You chuckled with Denki.
"Oh, you know, pretty good. Just, uh, defending for my life."
"Oh ya, same actually."
"OPEN THE DOOR!" Mina called from the other side of the door.
"I don't think we are getting out of this..." You said with a sigh.
"Forfeit?"
"I guess..."
"One three." You both nodded, and he counted down. "One. Two. Three."

You both released the door and backed away. Mina, Kiri, Sero, all fell in. Behind them, Jiro stood with her arms crossed. the three that fell were scrambling to get back up.
Mina put her hand on your shoulder, and the other on Denki's. "Start talking."

You sighed, "Fine..." You looked at the floor. "Denki is totally dating, Shinso!"
"Dude!" Denki gasped, "Yn is crushing hard on Tokoyami!"
"Shinso was in Denki's closet this morning, hiding!"
You two faced each other.
"Yn stayed overnight at Tokoyami's and cuddled him!"
"You little!" You went to grab him, but Kiri held you back.

Mina stood in between, "Hang on, whoa!"
"Seriously, you two, damn." Sero added.
You and Denki looked at each other, realising you both outed each other hard. Both of you burst out laughing.

Once everyone was sitting across Denki's dorm room, you both started to talk. Denki started with talking about how he ended up dating Shinso.
"We just started studying together because he was assigned to tutor me. But we just kept hanging outside of that, too. Then he asked if I wanted to go on a date instead." He smiled and fiddled with the end of his shirt as he spoke.
"Awww ," Mina cooed.
"He's really sweet, in his own way."
"So what was he doing in your dorm this morning?" You asked.
He blushed, "We fell asleep watching a movie and panicked when we got up, hearing you knock."
Sero gave a smug look to Kiri, "Right... movie."
Denki's eyes widened, "What are you suggesting!"
You all laughed.

The attention turned to you. You looked down and fiddled with the end of your shirt.
"Yn~," Mina called.
"I don't know what to say, it's really nothing..."
"Oh ya -" Denki said with a grin, "Bursting into my room this morning to rant about him for an hour and then realise you are head of heels for the boy is nothing."
You blushed and saw the surprised faces of your friends. "Well, I uh... ya, I like him... a lot."

There was a silence, and Sero spoke, "That can't be it! He said you ranted for an hour! Fill. Us. In."
You giggled and looked down, realising you had put Tokoyami's shirt on. You couldn't help but smile. "Well... he is the sweetest guy, and I stayed over at his house the night before we came to the dorms..."
Mina gasped, "What happened!? Did you kiss?"
"No, no, nothing like that." You couldn't help but smile as you talked about it again. Telling them how you borrowed his clothes, meeting his parents, the backyard,  all the stars, waking up in his arms, and about the rest of that morning.
Mina looked at you, "Awwww, that's so cute!"

"So you guys aren't dating?" Jiro asked.
"Uh, no. We aren't."
"You two should totally go out! You would be so cute!" Mina cooed.
"He probably doesn't feel the same!"There was a look between the entire group. "What?"

The Next Day

While speaking to Tokoyami the next day, during training, you felt eyes on you. You glanced to see Mina and Sero looking at you both, Sero wiggled his eyebrows as Mina made a kissy face, and you blushed, embarrassed. Little did you know, Tokoyami was dealing with his own friends, Sato kept gesturing to you, trying to convince Tokoyami to at least ask you out. 

Both of you didn't look at each other out of embarrassment, and both your friends face palmed at how obvious this all was. 

Mina's POV

She faced palmed, then looked up to see Sato with the same expression. Meeting his eyes, she glanced at Yn and Tokoyami. He pointed at Yn, then Tokoyami, with a questioning look, Mina nodded quickly. Then, he pointed at Tokoyami, then Yn, and had to contain her excitement when he happily nodded back. 

She nudged Sero and whispered, "Sato says he totally likes them back!"

"That's what that was?"

Mina nodded happily and looked back at Tokoyami and Yn nervously standing together, being oblivious. 

Yn's POV 

"So, uh. How are your pernats doing?" You wanted to dig your own grave, questioning why you would ask such a dumb question.
"Oh, they are doing well." He paused for a moment. "They ask about you often... it's too bad we aren't supposed to be leaving campus."
"Oh, ya I guess so. That's too bad."
There was a long silence.
"Yn-"
"Yes?" You looked at him, a little hopeful.
"I- uh- was wondering if you... liked apples!"
"Oh... uh ya their pretty good."
"Very well." He awkwardly turned and walked away. You walked back to Sero and Mina.

"That was painful to watch." Sero commented.
"Agreed -" Mian said.
You groaned, "I asked him how his perants were..."
"That is an embarrassing thing to ask the boy you like." Sero said, snickering.
"Shush you - Let's talk about your attempts with -" Tape was shot at your mouth, and Sero was blushing.
"You do not dare. Say his name."
Mina gasped, "Who's he!? Why don't I know?!"
Sero gave you a dirty look, "Now you've got Mina onto me."
"Hey! Don't ignore me!"
You took the tape off your mouth, "Oh darn. It's such a shame." You said sarcastically.
