chapter 4

after briefly greeting jim, tori and the boys decided to chill in the living room. they were in there for awhile before tori watched quinn get up from his spot on the couch to open a door. she wasn't really aware of what was happening besides that some of the guys pissed off quinn. the sight of quinn angry always made her laugh. now she really wanted to know what was either sent or said that made him mad.

"tori, there's someone i would like you to meet!" quinn came back into the living room with a shorter guy. he continued, "this is cole caufield, the only guy you're allowed to meet as of right now." she gave him a weird look at his last statement and knew she had to ask about it.

she stuck out her hand for cole to shake and said, "hi, cole! it's nice to meet you! what exactly did you do to make quinn not hate you?"

cole shook his head and started laughing. luke, who was still on the couch, started chuckling as well. this made quinn glare at the two of them. tori stood there as she waited for one of the boys to answer her.

"two of the guys, trevor and alex, were sending memes of quinn in our groupchat and that made quinn upset. it happens a lot," cole stated.

"someone needs to show me these like right now!" tori yelled and headed straight towards luke. she knew quinn would never show her.

luke opened his phone and handed it to tori. tori's eyes widened at the pictures of quinn and tried containing her laughter to not annoy quinn. to be fair, the memes were hilarious.

"are you trying to hold in your laughter?" quinn questioned her.

"no," she said unconvincingly.

she could see it in quinn's eyes that he was about to chase her. she gave luke his phone back and took off running. quinn ran after her around the house. luke and cole watched in amusement.

"does this happen often?" cole asked luke.

luke answered, "yeah, pretty much. you'll get used to it." cole nodded. the two continued to watch the chase until they heard loud voices enter the house.

"you don't think quinn is going to get back at me, do you?" alex asked jack.

jack laughed, "dude, have you met him? he couldn't hurt a fly!"

that's when the three noticed cole and luke watching quinn chase after tori. "what the hell is going on?" trevor asked no one in particular.

cole replied, "tori wanted to know why i was the only one on quinn's good side, so luke showed tori the memes. she thought it was funny and quinn was not having it, so now he's chasing her around the house." luke backed cole's story up by nodding.

jack, trevor, and alex weren't able to get a word in before tori had finally given up. quinn had her slung over his shoulder. neither one of them were aware the rest of the guys had returned when quinn walked back into the living room.

"quinn, you might want to put tori down. we're back, " jack told his older brother. quinn awkwardly put tori back down and gave her a sheepish smile.

tori tried to make herself look more presentable and put together before introducing herself. trevor beat her to it though. "i'm trevor and this is alex," trevor said while pointing to alex.

alex added, "we're the ones who sent the memes."

tori smiled, "i usually side with quinn on these things, but i must admit they were pretty funny, especially the second one."

"i told you guys mine was better! take that trevor!" alex shouted.

trevor rolled his eyes and was about to reply when jack interjected, "anyways, i'm sure tori needs to unpack and relax, so let's leave her be for a bit."

"that would be great! can someone show me where i'm staying though?" tori blushed. despite the fact that she's been to this house several times, she had no idea what rooms were still available.

"i'll show you," quinn replied and motioned for tori to follow him. with that, tori followed quinn up the stairs to her room, but not before waving goodbye to the guys. tori concluded that, at the very least, she would hangout with quinn, cole, and luke during the summer.
