VII: Trust

Baekhyun is having tea by the balcony when Y/n comes to her, he looks at her and feels uneasy. He's nervous if Y/n knows something or if Mina have already told the girls about everything, that's why he had been avoiding everyone including Taeyeon

"What's with that face, father?" Y/n asked

"Nothing.." Baekhyun said

"Are you free? Let's play chess"

"Next time, I have something to take care of" Baekhyun coldly said and walked away

Meanwhile ...

Mina is walking still thinking about the talk she had with Taeyeon last night

"A lot of things had happened since we left this island, I can't just ignore that fact. Even if we rewinded and erased everything that happened, it still happened" Mina mutters

She then sees Y/n by the balcony, she approached her but saw her face

"Is there something wrong?" Mina asked

"Why did you ask that? Everything is doing good" Y/n said

Mina stared at Y/n, only she knew that Y/n could actually be dead now if grandma didn't use her powers. Mina felt sadness because she couldn't imagine her life without Y/n

While Y/n noticed her teary eyes

"What's wrong?" Y/n worriedly asked

"I'm just glad you're alive" Mina smiled then tears fall down her eyes

"That's daily life, to be alive. You're being emotional today" Y/n chuckles and wipe off the tears then Mina tightly embraced her

Meanwhile ...

Nayeon is walking when she sees Y/n and Mina hugging, she stops and stares at them. She felt confused when felt strange feeling in her heart

"Hey" Momo comes to her

"Isn't that Y/n and Mina? Why are they hugging?" Momo asked looking at the two

"Those two.. they're always together, how can they be ranked first and second when they just flirt with each other in their spare time?" Nayeon bitterly said

"They're not flirting, they're just good friends. We're always together but we're not lovers" Momo laughs

Some time ..

The girls are having their lecture today, Mina is walking on the way to the room when she dropped the books she's holding. Baekhyun sees her and tries to help her

"I can do it myself" Mina coldly said

Meanwhile ..

Y/n watched Mina pick up the books, she found it weird that Mina rejected Baekhyun's help. She wondered if they fought in secret, she just shrugged it off then came inside the room. Everyone is already there

A little later ...

While Taeyeon is having a discussion, Y/n couldn't help but look at Mina. She's thinking of what happened earlier with Baekhyun and it can't get out of her mind

"Where do the beasts originated? Are they born that way or were they cursed?" Taeyeon asked

"The answer is, they were cursed by the gods. The first beast was cursed because he had an unpleasant personality, since then, people who have the same ugly trait as him will get to have the same fate as him. A beast" Taeyeon said, Chaeyoung raised her hand

"What about me, mother? How could I be cursed as a beast when I'm just a mere infant? What could possibly be the sin I have committed at such a young age?" Chaeyoung asked
