Ch. 6

Lan Wangji was out meeting his brother and uncle discussing the things they were to bring up at the next discussion conference. While he was out, Xiao Ying was laying peacefully on Wangji's bed. Today would be like any other normal day but for Xiao Ying, he was going to go through to his next phase.

While Wangji was out, Xiao Ying's little fox body began to glow a red color. In a quick burst of light, he turned from a little fox into a young man. Around the age of fifteen or so, he was now a human. He can turn into a fox at any time but he was now to learn to blend in with others. The problem with turning, he now lays naked in the bed.

Lan Wangji had returned about an hour later with his brother, only for the two to stop dead in their tracks and stare at the beautiful naked man. Lan Wangji's ears turned red as he quickly turned around to face his brother.

"I think Xiao Ying is now a human," he said.

Lan Xichen nodded, "cover him up and I will go get new robes for him."

Lan Wangji nodded and took a blanket to cover the younger's body. He couldn't help but stare at his face. He was mesmerized by his ethereal beauty. Beautiful cheekbones, cute little nose and soft lips, and a little beauty mole just under his lip. Wangji could also see the flame mark on Xiao Ying's forehead a lot more. Bright and red as it stood out on soft fair skin.

"Okay," Xichen said when he returned, "here."

Wangji took them and put them on Xiao Ying. Xichen helped him with what he could. They were both surprised that Xiao Ying remained asleep through that and did not wake.

"Is he normally that hard to wake?" Xichen asked.

"No, as a fox he was easy to pick up, and that alone would be enough to wake him," Wangji said, "um, should I still feed him fish as I have normal been doing?"

"I am guessing he can eat more than just fish now, maybe with those books I gave you, it would tell you," Xichen replied.

Wangji nodded. They two were soon brought back to Xiao Ying as he slowly rolled to his back and let out a cute whine as he opened his eyes. The watched as Xiao Ying sat up and looked at his hands then removed the blanket to see he had legs; human legs. Xiao Ying began moving his arms as he was fascinated with his new appearance.

"I am human?" He asked.

"Xiao Ying?" Wangji called out.

"Xichen-Ge, Zhan-Ge, look at me," he said happily, "do you like this me?"

"You look handsome," Xichen said, "my brother cannot keep his eyes off you."

"He couldn't keep his eyes off me before, that is not new," Xiao Ying said as he tried to stand but then fell back onto the bed, "why can't I stand?"

"Here," Wangji said standing beside him and held out his hand for him to take. Xiao Ying smiled as he took Wangji's hand and stood up with his help. Lan Wangji helped keep him steady as Xiao Ying was learning to stand on two legs.

"How can you handle two legs?" Xiao Ying asked, "why do I feel so...weird."

"Weird how?" Xichen asked.

"It's like my legs are tingly and numb but that is going away. What kind of body is this?" He asked.

"You are human, have your parents never talked to you about this phase?" Xichen asked in response.

"No, they told me earlier that day that I would start learning soon but they died," Xiao Ying said lowering his head, "am I still okay being here?"

"Of course," Xichen said, "you may have a human body now but you can still turn into a fox. You are also still bonded to my brother."

Xiao Ying looked at Wangji and couldn't help but poke his cheek, "you look prettier from new eyes," Xiao Ying said, "why are you so pretty?"

Lan Wangji's turned bright red, "genetics," Wangji replied.

"Oh, and do the red ears occur often?" Xiao Ying asked poking Wangji's ear.

Lan Wangji sighed as he carefully walked Xiao Ying over to the table and helped him sit. Wangji sat down beside him in case he needed help with something.

"Will you be able to help me learn how to be more of a human?" Xiao Ying asked.

"Of course we can," Xichen answered, "we are not going to abandon you."

Xiao Ying smiled so brightly at the two. Lan Wangji was so transfixed on his beautiful face. He knew that a human form of a nine tailed fox was beautiful but he didn't expect it to look this beautiful.

"What is it?" Xiao Ying asked Wangji, "is something wrong with my face?"

"No, it's fine," Wangji said looking away.

"Wangji, are you falling for him?" Xichen teased.

"Ge?!" He warned.

Xiao Ying giggled, "my human form is enchanting, isn't it?" He asked.

"You can say that," Xichen said, "Wangji seems to think so."

Xiao Ying looks at Wangji, "but he is pretty too. Pretty-Gege."

Lan Wangji looked at Xiao Ying, "hey, don't call me that."

"Why?" Xiao Ying asked, "Zhan-Gege, do you not like the new me?" Xiao Ying looked down at his hands.

"Of course I like you," Wangji said, "this is just something I need to adjust to as you need to adjust to being human."

"Do you have food? I am hungry," Xiao Ying said.

"Do you still eat fish or do you eat other foods now too?" Wangji asked.

"Always love fish, but it can be cooked now too," Xiao Ying said.

"I will go get him something," Xichen said and left the two alone.

"Xiao Ying?" Wangji asked, "may I?"

Xiao Ying tilted his head slightly. He saw Wangji reach out and place his hand on his face. Xiao Ying then sat up straight to let Wangji do whatever he was doing. Wangji used the tips of his fingers to map out Xiao Ying's face.

"You are really beautiful, A'Ying," Wangji said.

"Are you falling for me?" Xiao Ying asked.

"I might be, but I promise I will never hurt you or do something that makes you uncomfortable," Wangji told him.

Xiao Ying nodded, "I trust Gege."

Wangji then began rubbing his fingers behind Xiao Ying's ear. Xiao Ying closed his eyes and melted into Wangji's touch. Lan Wangji smiled as he found that Xiao Ying still liked being pet behind his ears, even as a human. He knew it was a good way to reward Xiao Ying for behaving.
