The sects were sending out disciples to various locations to eliminate the Wens little by little. Xiao Ying of course, stuck close to Wangji as much as possible. With so many people in one place, he was nervous. Anyone could target Xiao Ying and he would not know what to do. At the moment, Xiao Ying was at the training grounds going through some sword drills. Wangji watched closely to correct him if there were any mistakes. So far he was doing fine.

As Xiao Ying was training, a disciple came by to tell Wangji that his brother would like to see him. Xiao Ying said he would be fine for a few minutes while Wangji went to his brother. Xiao Ying was soon left in his own to train. He stopped suddenly when he heard crying. He put his sword away and ran to see who it was.

"Jiang Guniang?" Xiao Ying asked, "are you okay?"

"I am," she lied.

Xiao Ying looked at the person in front of him, "you hurt her?" Xiao Ying asked.

"She dared claimed someone else's work for her own for her own gain. I feel the Jiang sect has no manners, and are unteachable," the person said.

"Would she be this hurt if she lied to you?" Xiao Ying asked, "I do not know her well but she is a nice girl. You Jin's are so arrogant and stupid. You can do whatever you want just because you have money."

"You little brat!" The Jin said.

Xiao Ying got angry and punched the Jin in the chest, sending him flying across the grounds. Xiao Ying was angry and his eyes turned red for the first time. It indicated that he meant harm and he was able to curse a person if he so chooses.

"Xiao Ying? What happened?" Wangji asked running to him.

"He made her cry!" Xiao Ying said. His red eyes never cleared up.

Wangji new that Xiao Ying was getting more abilities. Xiao Ying's orange blossom scent turned sour and Wangji could tell that Xiao Ying was angry.

"They will solve it, please calm down," Wangji said to him calmly.

Xiao Ying looked at him, "take me away from here."

Wangji lifted Xiao Ying into his arms and went to their tent, "getting involved in other's business," Wangji said.

"It's in my nature to make peace," Xiao Ying said, "do you not like me doing that?"

Wangji set him down on the bed and sat beside him, "I love you in every way possible," he said, "as for those two, it's best of you let them solve it."

"I will let it go for now...but I was training and it made me distracted. How do I not get distracted from that? I heard crying. I have really good hearing," Xiao Ying said.

Wangji sighed, "I think that is something for you to ask your grandmother as she is a fox. She can help you train and maintain your senses properly."

"Are you upset with me?" Xiao Ying asked making puppy eyes at him.

"No I am not...and don't give me that look, I spoil you enough," Wangji said.

"What look?" He asked still with puppy eyes, "wait, do you not like that I was alone with others?"

"I trust you but I do not trust others," Wangji said, "I know not everyone knows what you are but you never know if that will spread to others or not. You are more at risk of being killed nowadays. I am afraid of losing you."

"I understand GeGe," he said, "what do I do when you aren't around? You have your own duties and I cannot always follow you around, I'd feel like I am imposing all the time. Especially when you have important meetings to attend to. Then you ask me to hide away here and I get bored and lonely. What do you want me to do?"

Wangji sighed as he was also at a loss, "you are never imposing or burdening yourself with me. You are engaged to me so you have a right to be at these meetings with me. I love you so much Xiao Ying, and I want to train you and I want you with me all the time. As you are also my spiritual companion, aren't you supposed to do that anyway?" He smirked.

Xiao Ying blushed, "Ge, am I your fiancée or your spiritual companion?" He asked.

Wangji shoved him back on the bed and hovered over him, "you are both, and I am your mate, remember?" He reminded.

"W-What are you d-doing?" Xiao Ying asked shyly.

"You are shy suddenly? After the things we've done?" Wangji asked, "want me to comfort you? Pamper you?"

Xiao Ying looked into his golden eyes. All he could do was nod. Wangji placed a privacy barrier over their tent and a ward over the tent entrance to keep others from entering. He then settled on Xiao Ying gently and kissed him. Xiao Ying kicked off his boots before wrapping his legs around Wangji's waist and his arms around his neck.

Wangji pulled away and opened Xiao Ying's robes before going to Xiao Ying's neck. Xiao Ying moaned the moment he felt Wangji's teeth scratching against his skin. He moaned louder when he felt Wangji's mouth latch onto his nipple. Xiao Ying found himself removing Wangji's head ornaments and and forehead ribbon before removing Wangji's robes and boots.

The two were soon naked and entangled in each other. Xiao Ying was engulfed with undeniable pleasure as Wangji's thrusts moved fast and hard. He shoved his face in Wangji's neck and bit down where Wangji's mark was. It would only enhance the bond between the two. Wangji didn't mind as he was lost in making love with Xiao Ying. The two were lost for a few hours before they stopped. Wangji prepared a bath and carried his tired Xiao Huli to the tub with him and helped clean him up.

"Ge, you are insatiable," Xiao Ying said, "I need to remember this for my next rut."

"You should, I would like to see what you do," he said. Xiao Ying wined only making Wangji laugh. After the bath, the two rested for the night.
