chapter two - hogwarts express

''Well this is awkward'' Ominis says finally breaking the eerie silence that surrounded us as we were sat on the train.

Me and Sebastian have not spoken at all, I don't even wanna be near him, and I definitely do not want to speak to him. I hope this journey speeds up. I cannot last another moment here with him.

''Why are you two so far apart? And why are you not speaking a single word to eachother'' Ominis shoots a confused look to the both of us. Had Sebastian not told him about what happened that night?

''Ask her'' A low voice utters.

''I have a name''
Ominis looks at us both wondering what happened to our once close friendship.

Sebastian says something under his breath that I can't quite make out. I don't even wanna know what he said personally.

''Sweets?'' A kind voice appears.

I could kill for a Pumpkin Pasty. I slowly get up to grab all the delicious selections there were to offer.
I go to pay for the treats when a hand stops me.

''I'll pay'' Sebastian appears getting ready to pay.

''No, I'm paying''

He scoffs ''I'm paying and that's final''

''I don't think so''

''I'll pay'' Ominis' voice shouts. ''I'm getting rather tired of you two quarrelling''

Ominis hands the money to the woman. I feel bad for her having to stand by watching me and Sebastian bicker over something so ridiculous.

We go back to our seats and I'm snacking on my long awaited Pumpkin Pasty, I'll never get tired of these things. It's such a delight to my pallet.

All of a sudden, someone starts choking on their snack. I hope it's Sebastian.

And... it is!

''Sebastian! Are you alright?'' Ominis says in a worrying tone.

''Yes, I'm fine'' Sebastian sighs. ''Wait how did you know it was me choking?'' Eyeing Ominis.

''Well, I doubt it'd be Y/N'' A laughing Ominis says.

''What is that supposed to mean?''

''You're rather clumsy Sebastian''

I can't hold my laughter in any longer, I finally let it out and then he looks straight in my direction.

''And what are you laughing at'' Sebastian gives me an evil look.

''I'm laughing at you choking'' I reply glaring at him.

''I'll make sure to laugh the next time you're life is on line''

I'm awoken by someone nudging me. How long have I been asleep for?

''Wake up, it's time to go''

I finally manage to get up. That was the best sleep I've had in weeks.

We step out onto the platform and finally start trailing our way towards Hogwarts.

A hand grabs my shoulder.
''Y/N, what happened between you and Sebastian?''

''I'm not sure what you're talking about Ominis'' I smile.

''I'm not going to push you further on this but I would appreciate it if I know, if I don't get it out of you, I will get it out of Sebastian''.

As we are walking down the route, I look around at the familiar place. I don't know how I'm going to cope in this place, it's not going to be the same without Professor Fig.

While looking around, I hear a loud shrieking noise. I don't know where it's coming from.
My head starts throbbing and the world around me becomes blurred as I slowly find myself closing my eyes.

THUMP

I'm not excited to be back at this place. How am I supposed to act normal after what happened. Nobody knows that I was the one who killed my uncle, apart from the obvious people. I don't feel guilty that I did that. I'm more saddened by losing Anne, I just want to know that she's okay. I miss her.

Ominis has been a great help and I can see that he is disturbed by the path I went down but he still has stood with me, I'll be eternally grateful for it.

Y/n on the other hand, I don't hate her. Annoyed at her? Yes. I don't get what I've said to make her hold such a hatred for me. We crossed paths once during the summer and she muttered something under her breath, I don't know what, but I know it wasn't something pleasant. If she wants to act like that then fine, let it be like that.

She's walking ahead of me and Ominis then all of a sudden she just froze.
In a matter of seconds she passes out.

''Y/N'' Rushing to her aid. What's wrong with her? I increasing get worried when she isn't waking up.

She's still breathing.

''What happened to her Sebastian?'' Ominis anxiously questioned.

''I don't know, we need to get her to Nurse Blainey now''

I grab y/n, holding her in my arms, and start sprinting towards the school.

''Please be okay''

''Please be okay'' Sebastian's voice whispers.

I can't open my eyes, I can't process what's happening. What was that noise? The agony it filled my body. That was definitely anything but ordinary.

My body begins to feel heavy and I find myself losing consciousness once again.
