chapter fourteen - feldcroft

''Y/N, listen to me. You need to find that book soon, I cannot promise it'll still be there if you wait any longer.'' Isidora's hollow voice spoke, ''You can become so powerful, you can become better than any alive. Don't you want to help everyone you care about?''

''I-I do, I can't bare losing anyone else.'' I replied.

''Then you must go there, soon. All the answers you need will be there.''

Isidora's frame faded.

My eyes shot open, I grabbed Sebastian trying to nudge him awake, ''Sebastian, wake up now.''

He squirmed around, ''Go away Ominis.''

''It's Y/N, you need to wake up Sebastian. Now.'' I gave him one final push.

''Ominis, I said go away.'' His tone increased.

This bloody boy.

I'd had enough so I decided to simply jump on him.

''Sebastian, wake up.'' I mellowed.

Out of nowhere, he shot up and pinned me down with force. ''Woah, Sebastian, what on earth are you doing?''

He realised what he had done and got off me, ''Y/N, I'm sorry.'' He just scratched the back of his head.

''Bloody hell'' I brushed the dust off me, ''We need to get to Feldcroft.''

''W-what? Now? Merlin, what time is it?''

''Early enough for us to go there.'' I looked at him, maintaining eye contact. ''Please.''

Sebastian looked at me for a few moments before he finally gave in, ''Fine, but you owe me one.'' A smile crept up.

I could barely conceal my happiness, ''Thank you, I am forever in your debt.'' I winked.

''Indeed you are.''

We had left the castle hoping to not be seen, I made my way to the storage room with Sebastian following behind.

''Why are we in a storage room?'' He eyed me.

My eyes scanned the room until I locked onto my broom, ''I tend to leave my broom here.''

Grabbing the broom, we made our way to an empty field.

''Get on.''

Sebastian tilted his head, ''I could have just got my own broom.''

I sighed, ''Fine, if you want to get your br-''

''No, I'll get on the back.'' He smirked.

I carefully got onto my broom, as did Sebastian.

''Ready?'' I turn to look at him.

''Ready.''

We quickly set flight and in a matter of seconds, we were in the air.

My eyes scanned the greenery that laid all around, fresh water twinkling.

''This whole place is beautiful isn't it.'' I managed to speak despite the wind.

''Not as beautiful as you.'' Sebastian's voice quietly muttered.

''What was that?''

''I said it is beautiful.''

Feldcroft finally appeared clear as anything in our direction. I flew down to steady ground and we both got off the broom.

My eyes shifted to Sebastian as I noticed he looked slightly tense. I grabbed his hand to let him know that it's okay.
