Mia had been basically stuck to Kaoru all day. Kaoru didn't really mind, she was funny, always happy, not to mention cute, but Kaoru was more than relieved when he went off to Biology on his own. Mia had only met him this morning and already she was all over him. Somehow, they had almost all of their classes together. The only 2 classes Kaoru could go to alone were Biology and Phys. Ed. He was glad for that because he wasn't exactly the most active person ever and Phys. Ed. definitely was not his favorite class. He didn't want Mia to see him in Phys. Ed. Mia gave him a hug and raced off to join her other friends as they made their way to who-knew-where. Biology was the class before lunch and Kaoru was starving. He navigated his way to the class and eagerly sat down at a random desk in the back. Like all the other teachers in the school, this one was very tall and serious-looking. She had thick, choppy black hair that was tied up in a messy (very messy) bun on the back of her oval head. Her eyes were brown and menacing. She wore high heels though there really was no need, she was almost 7 feet tall without them anyways. From other students discussion he found out that her name was Ms. Konako. She shushed everyone and started to write on the board. The clock ticked loudly behind Kaoru and he found that seemed to be the only thing that he could focus on. He saw that the rest of his class were busy writing notes and answering questions. Luckily the teacher must either not see him or is ignoring him because she never called on him, the way teachers at Ouran did sometimes when they thought a student wasn't listening. Of course they never embarrassed the students, they'd never do anything to displease the students at all. Not these teachers. "Kaoru!" The teacher had an unexpectedly low voice. She batted he thick black eyelashes slowly and glared at him, tapping her fingers on the side of her navy blue, knee length skirt. The whole class turned to look at Kaoru, some he recognized from other classes. "Huh?" He mentally kicked himself as soon as he said it. He couldn't think of anything else to say, at all, except "Huh?" Everyone burst out laughing and Kaoru's face turned a deep, deep red. He wasn't used to the teachers being mean and stern like this. Sure, some of the other teachers in other classes were like this too, but it felt weird and wrong. At Ouran, the teachers wanted you to be happy, and never put you in spotlight like this unless you wanted it. He wanted to scream at this teacher for doing this to him. "You... Whatever your name is... Listen up next time because I will not have my students zoning out like that in the middle of a lesson, got it?" Kaoru nodded but as soon as Ms. Koanko started began speaking again, he muttered "My name is Kaoru..." The way he had for years, when someone mistakenly confused him for Hikaru. Like they always did. Kaoru still didn't focus very much on the lesson, but he caught little parts of words and sentences. He even wrote down a few paragraphs, when the teacher looked his way to show that he was listening. Even though he wasn't. The bell rang and he left for the cafeteria. "Kaoruuuuuu!!!!!" Mia's sweet little voice sounded out through the hallway and Kaoru saw her bounding towards him. A few girls he recognized to be her friends were following her, but from a distance. "I thought we could hang out at lunch... Wanna?" Mia was such an adorable little girl, much smaller than him, he found it hard to believe it was her first year of high school and not middle school. She reminded him of Honey, but Mia was mentally more mature, he thought. She knew what she wanted in life and grabbed for it. She honestly looked and acted like she could care less about everything happening around her. It was all about her when she entered a room. "Uh... sure." "Great!" Mia linked her skinny left arm with Kaoru's right and she practically dragged him outside to the front garden. Many students were out there, mostly couples, but they all seemed to head inside when Mia got there. "Come sit here." She sat on the side on one of the fountains, taking off her black boots and dipping her feet into the water, not even considering the water she was sitting on. "Mia... Maybe you shouldn't sit there. You're getting your uniform wet." She looked a little surprised but only budged a tiny bit to the left. "Oh, well, I have swimming next anyways, and besides, these uniforms are downright ugly. I mean, look at this color. If I were the principal, I'd make them bright blue and yellow so we wouldn't look like we were depressed all the time." Kaoru raised his eyebrow at her answer. "What about the uniforms though? The look pretty expensive..." "Pffft..." Mia rolled her eyes and motioned for Kaoru to take a seat beside her. He stayed put. "I'm filthy rich. Aren't we all? My dad will pay for another one." With that, she splashed water onto Kaoru, soaking his left pant leg. "What..?" Mia laughed, a melodic beautiful laugh that warmed Kaoru to the bone. Soon, Kaoru and Mia were both drenched in water from the fountain, both sprawled it across the grass by the flower beds to dry off. A man in a light blue uniform was watering the flowers a couple meters away ad when he saw them, his eyes widened. He didn't do anything though, just continued his work. "Kaoru... You're really cute." Mia reached over and touched the tip of her finger to Kaoru's nose. "You're cute too, Mia." Why hide feelings? "Kaoru... Do you like me? I mean, as a friend is cool, but I'm talking about..." Kaoru was silent. He was thinking. When he'd first gotten to the school, he'd been mixed up. He didn't know what to feel. But he met Mia and his whole life turned upside down. Never in hi sight mind would he have come outside and splashed in the fountains if Mia weren't here. He never would've laughed or even smiled if Mia hadn't first. How someone could have so much influence over another like that's was kinda scary, but also enchanting. Amazing. Mia could change a suicidal person's mind in a split second. He loved that about her. He really, truly did. He'd never felt love outside of his family. Hikaru... Well... He loved Hikaru. Not like this though. Never like this. It was wrong, but this... This was more than right. It was perfect. "Yes. Mia," he leaned over her face and let himself drift away into her eyes. "I like you. A lot." Mia grabbed his arm and used it to help herself up. Then, she wrapped her warm fingers around his, and whispered into his ear before leading him back inside. "I think I like you too, Kaoru."

So... ISNT MIA JUST THE CUTEST? Come on, don't deny it. So yeah, Kaoru may or may not have a little gf now... Depends I guess. I'm not a fan of all that Hikaru x Kaoru stuff, no offense to other people, but there will be none of that, comment opinions and recommendations and all that stuff!! Thx.

Btw: sorry if there are a lot of typos. My bad.
