The day has finally come—Hazel can go home.

That was what she thought, at least.

After multiple attempts at diving underwater and looking absolutely insane in the group's eyes, she realized nothing had changed.

"I don't get it! This was supposed to work. My one-way ticket home!"

She tugged at her hair out of frustration.

"Um, is she alright?" Tsireya glanced at Kiri with concern.

"Yeah, she's perfectly fine. Just give it time. You'll get used to it," Kiri replied, waving her off.

"Oh, okay," Tsireya nodded.

"She's still recovering from a head injury, so don't mind her." Loak smiled at her, which she returned shyly.

"Anyway," Aonung cleared his throat awkwardly. "Let's hurry up and get this over with. I've got things to do, sister."

Tsireya rolled her eyes at him before turning to the Sully siblings with a kind smile. Amid today's lesson, Hazel reluctantly rejoined the group with a heavy sigh.

"Come, we will teach you guys how to free dive."

Tsireya led the group underwater while Hazel lingered behind for a few seconds. After her plan failed to work, she was stressed out.

Because now, she was back to square one and stuck with her tactless betrothed.

Before joining the rest of the group, Neteyam glanced up at her briefly from beneath the surface. Despite not knowing what she was up to this time, he was annoyed at having to keep an eye on her as well.

In addition to having to take care of his siblings, Ayavi was even more stressful. He secretly hoped that she wouldn't regain her memories and start acting out against the girls of this clan.

Taking a deep breath, Hazel dived underwater to join the group.

"This is Eley, a good friend of mine." Tsireya gestured toward the girl who was with her last night.

She smiled shyly at the group, her eyes flitting toward Neteyam. A boy, who had been following Aonung around, stood beside her.

"And this is Rotxo, Aonung's best friend." Tsireya gestured at him, and he responded with a verbal greeting.

Between Eley and Neteyam, Hazel's eyes darted back and forth. There was no doubt that the poor girl was attracted to him.

It might be possible for her to get out of being his betrothed by hooking them up. As she wasn't truly one of them, she saw no problem in arranging for him to meet someone else despite any rules governing their mating rituals.

It seemed like the perfect plan. Without him in her path, she could figure out a faster way home.

As the group went around the circle, each member introduced themselves.

"I'm Neteyam. This is my ma—"

"Mom's friend's daughter!" Hazel shouted, cutting him off with a wide smile. "I'm Ayavi, his mom's friend's daughter. So I guess you can say I'm like a close family friend."

During the exchange of confused glances, the Sully siblings gazed at Neteyam who pressed his lips together.

"No, you're not. You're Netty's—" Tuk spoke up, and Hazel quickly covered the little one's mouth with her hand.
