Headcannons

not an update, just assorted player x reader headcannons that I may make oneshots of in the future

Player probably is a pro at rhythm games and full combos everytime

(in the school scenario), When y/n and player are going home together from school on the bus, they sit together and  y/n would play rhythm games and player bothers her and purposely makes her lose her combo making y/n annoyed. they also play games together often and go to each others' houses to play games. an ideal date for them is playing video games together into the late hours of the night in a dark room with no light besides from their screens. they end up falling asleep too and sometimes when y/n falls asleep player would tuck her in and vice versa. 

They play a lot of fighting games too and carmen would make comments like "player you act as if you're such a pro in fighting bcuz of these games but you couldn't even join the action irl"

also bcuz player spends so much time in his room, y/n would forcefully drag him out and tell him stuff like "u need to touch grass once in a while player"

in like every game, player is at the highest level/rank possible and he probably spends way too much money on games and carmen pays for it all

when y/n first learned about player's gaming obsession, she was like "wow as a f2p (free to play) im jealous"

player also buys in game passes and stuff for y/n as gifts

player also does random quizzes with y/n about geography and other countries' cultures but y/n has no clue, the convo would go something like

player: "y/n whats the capital of czech republic?"

y/n: "THATS A PLACE???" 

but y/n isnt as dumb as zack and has the BASIC geography knowledge, and from hanging out with player so much a bunch of those geography funfacts are stuck in her head

they also go on arcade dates together and player likes to win plushies and stuff for y/n. and that restaurant player goes to in the show? plauer and y/n also have dates there. and at first player did see y/n as a friend and eventually over time he likes her and when they first started dating player was really awkward but y/n thought his awkwardness was cute

and whenever y/n rambles about her 2d fictional crushes, player pretends to get jealous and says stuff like "OH IF ONLY Y/N LOVED ME AS MUCH AS SHE LOVES [insert fictional character]" and y/n would laugh about it say "dw player i love u more" and he get flustered etc etc

ALSO when y/n gets obsessed with a new game or tv show/series she forces player to watch it/play it so she can ramble about it to him

THIS IS THE LAST ONE FOR NOW, in some of the games that y/n plays but player doesnt, he still has them downloaded on his phone just so when its liek 1am he checks if y/n is online and reminds her "Y/N ITS 1AM U NEED SLEEP STOP PLAYING [insert game name]" and y/n responds like "SHUT UP PLAYER AND HELP CARMEN WITH HER CAPER OR SOMETHING, YOU DONT CONTROL HOW MUCH I PLAY"

umm there are a few more but i just dont remember, so thats enough player x reader hcs for now!!!
