Jisung knew he was dreaming, he knew this even though he was sure he had witnessed all. It was a overwhelming dream. He needed to wake up from this lucid dream.
The forest was silent, as he ran, weakly, holding the animal in his frail arms. The fog obscured the forest floor. He couldn't see his knees, he couldn't see, his vision was blurry. For all he knew, he was floating as his steps made no sound.
In fact nothing did, not even his hear ringing in his ears or his heavy breathing. No snapping twigs, no moving leaves. Nothing. It was silent.
It was like silent town.
He made it out of the woods, he couldn't see, he couldn't hold himself, he felt the earth pulling at him to join the demons down below. But he forced himself to move, he saw blue, pink, he saw figures. He couldn't think he couldn't see. The only warmth he had was Doongie, he was cold all around apart from his chest.
The was able to make out the crossing, the light was red, do not walk, do not walk.
"What are you doing?"
He jerked up, his eyes wide open but all he saw was lines,
It was him. The Gumiho.
His arms folded, his tails behind him, his eyes, those eyes.
At the sight of him, Jisung heard the scenery around him, the beeps, the cars, the howling.
Jisung took a step forward, ignoring the red light.
"Whats happening, I cant see. Why are you here..help me.." Jisung couldn't speak. It hurt, it hurt.
Without warning, he crossed.
"Help me, what did you do to me." Jisung felt cold liquid on his cheek. He didn't know if ti was raining or if he was crying. He didn't know, he didn't know. It frustrated him.
He heard, you could do many things in a lucid dream, fly in the air, breathe underwater, he wanted to sink the ground and never come back out.
SCREECH.
"YA! WATCH WERE YOUR GOING KID." A middle-aged man yelled, as Jisung fell backwards. A bunch of other cars beeping. Jisung sobbed, covering his ears. He felt a ringing noise.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"
He rushed back up to his feet, and averted his gaze to the side, he was. The Gumiho was gone.
He walked away from the streets and limped his way to Minho's house.
He looked up to see the light of Minho's house, he smiled weakly. He was desperate. Every single movement he made made his head spin.
The house moved from left, then to the right, like a ship on the sea with thunder. He felt like be was being pulled somewhere he didn't want to go and tried his best to hold on. He just wanted the absorbed into the ground, he didn't know why he was holding on.
Jisung should of just died in that forest, but he had a life. He needed to live. He pushed on, not caring that his vision was slowly becoming dark. All he could see was the front door of Minho's house.
"You."
The voice again. Jisung screamed. Everything went under him again.
"Get away from me!!" Jisung tugged at his hair, he was sure he had pulled at least 3 strands of hair. He felt a lump in his thoart, he swallowed it. He felt so nauseous.
Jisung's trembling hands fiddled with the lock of the fence.
"Why did you touch my bead?" He asked.
Jisung's ear tickled, he rubbed it at his side. "Go away, please." Jisung was just able to open the door fence, before falling at his sides, everything was dark, all he could see was the boy, with his tails.
All Jisung could feel was fear. Was he being targeted for death by the dokkaebi's and grim reapers?
"Just kill me."
"No."
"Please. I cant, I cant-"
"Shh. Everything will be fine. Just answer the question."
"Why did you touch my bea-"
Everything went silent. He was gone, Jisung was alone again with just Doongie
At this point, Jisung couldn't even get up. No matter how hard to tried, he strangled himself and the cat would meow. He couldn't. He couldn't scream for Minho to come rushing out that door and helping.
Jisung started to see green and blue, his vision was zooming. No matter how much he blinked, nothing was working.
Jisung took a deep breathe. And forced himself up.
He let an barbaric scream, complete in pain. His legs were so frail, Jisung was afraid they'd break at the slightest movement. But Jisung needed to get to the door. The door to safety.
Minho would help him and treat him, he'll be fine all of this will be over. It's just a dream, Jisung should just pinch himself.
Jisung knew he was in a lucid dream, he could feel himself on the bed but in another dimension.
Maybe he could dream for a random medication or fly away out of this dream into reality. And make sure Doongie is actually safe and well.
He felt more bad for the animal rather than himself. He felt bad for the driver. He even felt guilty for the Goblin. Why did the Gumiho save him? He could of just died and woken up from his dream.
Jisung trot his way to the door. It was so close yet so far, it was no more then a arm length away.
Doongie jumped out his arms weakly, also limping. Doongie was most definitely traumatized from this just like Jisung was himself, he would never enter the woods ever again, he would probably have the biggest mental breakdown if somebody ever mention the forest, especially the Fox Hill forest.
The thought of it scared him already.
His fingers just brushed the wooden door knob. The cat moved so Jisung could have space, meowing exciting to be back home and safe.
Jisung yelled and bang his fist at the door loudly. Crying into it.
The door yanked open, the cat immediately running in the house all the way in the small hallway.
"Stop banging Jisung! You'll wake up- Oh my god." Minho's furious face turned into a petrified expression. "Holy shit. What the fuck happened?"
Jisung made eye contact with Minho for a slight second before Jisung closed his eyes and felt the darkness absored him before his body collided with Minho's.
A/N: No words.
