My heart constricted within my chest as if under external pressure, every hair on my body stood on end, and my temperature rose inexplicably.

My palms were covered in sweat as a reaction to the unsettling sight before me, my feet remained firmly planted on the ground, refusing to budge.

I couldn't avert my gaze as the realization hit me, the mirror in front of me isn't showing my reflection, and the wall clock on my right wasn't working, making it clear evidence of that fact.

'I'm in a dream?! and not only that... my body has shrunk too! What is going on here?'

- "Ouch!"

I cried in pain for the 5th time as my poor head hit the ceiling of the wooden carriage, I heard that people in the past felt uncomfortable riding in carriages due to the roads that were unpaved and filled with potholes, but this is ridiculous!

I stroked my head with my left hand to ease the pain as my other hand pulled the curtains to the side, I couldn't tear my eyes from the beautiful scenery outside.

I could see vast fields of green grass dotted with a sea of vibrant blue and purple flowers that swayed gently in the breeze, coincidentally, purple is my favorite color.

Although I should be used to this sight since I'm a pokemon trainer that traveled to several regions, this feels like a completely new experience because I have never ridden in a carriage before.

Now it's time to organize my thoughts, I leaned my back against the hard seat as my hands rested in my lap.

First of all, I know that I'm in a dream thanks to the habit of reality checking which I developed in real life.

Secondly, I was able to learn some useful information from the servant who never suspected anything, I'm (Y/N) (L/N) from a noble family that owns the title of a count.

However, my family lost most of its power and our financial state wasn't as good compared to other nobles, which explains the humble carriage I'm riding at the moment.

I was an adult in real life, but here I'm just a ten-year-old kid who was going to school, although I can remember a lot of things, the majority of my other memories are blurry, but that's how dreams usually are.

I'm not supposed to be aware that I'm dreaming so this could explain why I can't remember some things, but hopefully, I will recall something once I encounter other students.

The school welcomes students of all statuses, including the royal family and the commoners, not like it matters to me since my purpose is to get out of there.

Suddenly, the shaking carriage came to a stop, the servant escorted me to the gate of the school and then bent down for the last time saying "If you need anything, please don't hesitate to send a letter".

I nodded and thanked the servant, sensing their delight at my positive response, in this world, most people don't have faces, my brain is probably too lazy to add such details, so I can't see the face of the servant properly.

Another thing that baffled me was the fact that I have parents but at the same time they don't exist, I couldn't find them no matter how much I searched throughout the house.
