In the great, endless virtual seas, sat an island the size of a continent.

Magic Island was the name of this settlement. The most lovely place in existence was seated on top of a green, sunny, circular island. The beaches were a land of sand and flowing water that could be seen from the air. There were also tall tropical trees full of healthy coconuts, along with the monkeys that fought over them continuously. Tall buildings, skyscrapers, and semi-busy highways with automobiles and trucks going up and down could all be seen between beaches and trees.

Every inhabitant of Magic Island had some sort of magic ability, hence its name. These include fire, water, earth, and wind powers, followed by dark and majestic magic. However, the exact abilities they had depended on what borough of the island they lived in. Yes, because of its enormous size, Magic Island is split into six sectors known as "boroughs".

But how do Magic Islanders have such abilities?

A shining green gem that provided the room with light of its color sat in a big, dark chrome room in the Kingston Palace of the capital borough of Perikayo. Veridis is its name, and it is the source of all of the powers Magic Islanders possess.

With the large amounts of explorers in the world, it is quite the surprise that none have shown interest in this land. That was... until now.

Somewhere out in the sea, a big ship sailed across the ocean. It was a massive caravel with its deck covered purely in black metal texture. It was fueled by a big black sail with a dragon's head outlined in red, representing Impomafort, the big kingdom from which the ship came. On top of it was a cube-shaped observation tower that served as a crow's nest.

From this tower, two men in black armor with dragon scales stared at the squeaky clean window. One of them held a portable GPS reminiscent of modern tablet computers. On the touchscreen was a map of the sea, and the pieces of land that sat on it.

"Anything yet?!" a voice behind them asked.

When the two guys turned around, they could see their captain approaching them, his loud footsteps echoing off of the metallic walls. He was a man that appeared to be as tall as tree, and had a muscular build. He wore black dragon scale armor over his upper body and hips. He also wore brown leather pants, and black knee-high boots and a maroon piece of clothing with thick black outlines covering the private area. A two-handed pale red sword with a bone-like sheer hilt and a groove extending from the pommel to the tip was inside in a holster on his back. It appeared to have the potential to harm its user just as much as the opponent.

The two men humbly stood before him, but were so intimidated by him that they didn't say a word.

"Well?" he repeated when he was close enough to touch their shoulder.

"N-Not yet, Captain Occidifu..." one of the men said. "We're still trying to find it. We've been trying for the past hour."

Occidifu looked at him as if he had just eaten scrambled eggs off the floor.

"The past hour?!" He snatched the tablet-like GPS from him and looked observantly at the screen. "You're not looking well enough!!"

He stared at the map like it was a contest to do so. He looked closely down at the tiny little dot that represented the ship's location. He scrolled to the left and saw was slowly moving towards a giant green circle. He knew exactly what it was.

He showed the screen to his men and said, "See?! It's moving towards Magic Island! You dimwits need to observe more carefully!"

"Yes, sir!" they said in unison.

Out on the deck, which had a shiny sky blue chrome floor, a stoic young man stood with his hands in his pocket, staring at the sparkling sea water. He wore dragon scale armor over his upper body and hips, over a long black coat that extended all the way down to his knees., along with gray adventurer pants and boots. The lower half of his long coat and his wavy, spiky, red hair swayed in the mild wind.
