The big orange dragon flew across the skies and then landed in the streets of Skotadi. Lontari looked up at the sky and noticed the smoke rising into the clouds. He pulled his sword off his back, and jumped off.

"This is Skotadi?" he said.

Axel walked up next to him with a nasty look. "It is indeed, son, and the scent is just putrid!!"

The dragon blasted off into the sky, leaving Lontari and Axel to explore the place. The two proceeded to walk down the street. It had to be devastated or something, because never before had either seen a place within Perikayo, let alone Magic Island as a whole, look like such a wreck. The people here must have also been poor, because just look at all the homeless people sitting around, reading the dirty, beat-up, outdated newspapers out of boredom.

Lontari managed to come across a homeless woman when he reached the sidewalk across the street. She sat in front of a small abandoned shop, holding a piece of cardboard that read Anything Helps!!, written in purple crayon. Axel looked at her too, and was immediately glad he didn't live in a place like this, and wondered how anyone other than rich survived here.

"That poor lady..." said Axel.

"No kidding," said Lontari, summoning five pieces of raw porkchop from his inventory. He generated a sphere of fire on his hand and held it close to the pieces of meat until it quickly turned brown and was fresh out of the oven. "Gee, magic fire sure can cook fast..."

He and Axel walked over to the lady, who looked up at them desperately. Lontari gave her all porkchops, and she took them as if she was being offered the world's most prized possession.

"Hope that helps," said Lontari with a smirk.

The lady smiled for what seemed like in ages. "Thank you, young man... Thank you so-"

She suddenly started screaming, much to Axel and Lontari's confusion. She held the porkchops like a baby, grabbed her cardboard sign and ran off. The two fellow mages looked at each other in total confusion. That is a very weird way to act after a person who has decency just shared their food with you in a time when you desperately needed it. They were about to complain, but heard some yelling.

They turned around, and finally learned why the woman ran off all of a sudden. Insane people in dirty clothing ran towards them. Lontari could instantly tell they were possessed by dark magic, because he took only one look at their eyes. It was a definite chance, no doubt.

"Okay, boy, let's do it!" Axel said, getting into combat position.

The two ran towards the insane crowd and started fighting. Lontari opened up his hand, engulfing in a fiery aura, and slammed it into a lady's nose, knocking her to the ground and turning her back to normal. He then saw a guy running towards him with his hands holding black magic spheres. He punched him in the mouth, knocking his eyes back to their normal form.

Axel generated a massive tornado of fire, and he thrusted his palms forward, sending it racing towards the crowd of insane people. It exploded on contact with them, sending them flying into mid air. They all landed on their stomachs in pain, but the good thing is that they returned to their normal states.

Lontari watched them all roll around in pain. "Are you guys okay?"

They all noticed him, and stood up one by one. They walked over to him, much to his and Axel's fear.

"Thank you for saving us from the dark magic..." the woman with a bleeding nose said.

"No problem," said Lontari, staring at her nose. "You gonna be alright? I should have been more gentle."
