The fire that has been spreading all over Perikayo is now starting to gobble up the grassy mountains. All of the small rabbits that resided there all hopped for their lives, but only a few were fast enough to even hop away from the fire.
Lontari and Occidifu were at the top, and were aware of the incoming flames. But the latter had no fear, for he feels this going to be a piece of cake.
"Fine then... your funeral," said Occidifu, spinning his sword. "Let's do battle. Shouldn't take long. "
"Yeah." said Lontari. "All I'll need is my wit."
The two stared fiercely at each other, before darting towards one another like lightning. Their blades locked together for a brief minute, and then the fighting began.
The two swiftly and persistently swayed their swords at each other in a variety of different angles. The blades collided repeatedly, sending yellow sparks and strident clinging sounds into the air. Their eyes were set on each other, looking for any possible area to attack. But it almost seemed impossible.
In fact, Occidifu's swinging had gotten so strong, that Lontari lowered his head when he swung at his face. The boy then made a fist and jammed his knuckles into the armored man's nose. He stumbled backwards with a bleeding nose until he regained his balance right before he fell off the edge of the mountain. However, Lontari, determined to win, ran over to him to push him off. But Occidifu invested all his strength into his arm and pushed the boy away.
Lontari grunted when he thudded onto his side. He took a deep breath as he beared the stinging pain on his hip. He slowly got up onto his feet and stared angrily at Occidifu.
Occidifu wiped the blood from his nose and said, "I'd give up if I were you. This feels like kicking a doll around than an actual fight."
Lontari, angered by that statement and his indifference for the trouble he caused, firmly declared, "You're going to eat those words, Occidifu. I swear it."
The boy and the armored man raced towards one another once again, and continued swiftly swing their swords at one another, occasionally locking the blades together.
Meanwhile, the men on the ship watched as their captain fought vehemently against this little blue-haired kid. Though they were too far away from land to tell, they watched with thumping hearts as their swords were being swung like lightning. They were almost convinced the weapons were going to snap in half.
"You think Occidifu's gonna win?" a soldier asked.
"Of course he will, idiot! What kinda silly question is that?" another soldier replied. "I just hope he defeats that brat before the flames completely swallow the mountain!"
Occidifu was having fun on the mountain. He was sure he was going to beat this puny little boy in no time.
"Your attacks are useless!!" Occidifu roared, speeding up his sword swinging.
Lontari had switched to ducking and swerving, as sweat ran down his face. His heartbeat shot through the roof as chances of him getting slashed in the stomach constantly went up and down. However, as soon as he imagined his HP bar hitting 0 before he could get a chance to save his beloved virtual home, his determination grew stronger.
Occidifu laughed at he swayed his sword at the boy, but then Lontari jammed two fingertips into his eyes. He screamed in pain until he abruptly grunted even louder when the boy's foot collided with his balls. Annoyed at the slightest chance of him losing his acquired green gem, he yelled in anger and attempted to plunge the sword into the boy's stomach.
Threatened, Lontari threw a swift, thunderous upward punch at Occidifu, striking him right in the chin. The Viridis gem broke off his hip and rolled down the mountain like a bowling ball, and this made his heart jump out of his chest. He raced to grab it, but it suddenly vanished into glowing purple sparkles.
