The night sky was dark blue tonight, and the halls of the prison were much darker now.

Imani, Axel, and their new cellmates watched as Lontari took steps backwards and tensed up his entire body. He reached his palms out, grunting as he struggled to release more magic elements.  He had been trying for hours, and you can tell by all of the sand and crystal shards littered onto the floor.

"C'mon, Lontari!" he grunted. "You can do it!"

"Yes, you indeed can, c'mon!" cheered Ryan.

Lontari released all of the tension in his body with a long sigh. He took deep, angry breaths, frustrated with his lack of progress. So far, all he had learned how to do was make tiny little blasts of sand and crystals. This did not sastify him. How can he take down The Demolisher or Occidifu with such low amounts of power?

The bitterness in his heart got to him, and he let out a loud roar, as he swung his hands up. To his surprise, a spiky pink crystal glacier popped out of the ground and extended all the way to the ceiling. He dropped his jaw in shock.

"Holy crap..." he said.

"Nice going, kid!!" Martin praised.

"Thanks," said Lontari, tossing a fireball that bursted the glacier into bits. "It's no giant monster, but I think I've mastered enough to have a better shot at defeating Occidifu and the bald guy!"

"Oh, you'll definitely kick his ass now," said Imani.

A sudden voice came on the intercom. Lontari and others, as well as the prisoners from other cells, looked at the microphone attached to the wall outside.

"Attention, all prisoners. It's now dinnertime. Please report to the cafeteria. We don't care if you're not hungry."

"So, Lontari, what's the plan?" asked a desperate Stewart. "I'm sick of being cooped up in here!"

"Oh, I don't need a plan," said Lontari, holding a multi-colored ball of energy in his palm.

Minutes later, while the prisoners were eating nauseating food, Lontari and his friends were racing through the hallway. Ryan, Stewart, and Martin all occasionally hurled stone spikes at the guards, but they ducked their heads every time. So, it was up to Lontari. He came to a sudden stop, causing the others to bump into him.

"You guys go!" Lontari yelled. "I'll take care of these a-holes!"

"Thanks!" Stewart said before a frustrated Martin pulled him along by the shirt.

Lontari turned around and stared at the guards. His look was firm, as if he were about to turn into a huge monster and eat them. Despite this, the guards were still determined to take him on.

"You'd better get back in your cell if you know what's best for you, kid," asserted one of the guards.

"Good thing I'm a multimage," said Lontari as his eyes suddenly started glowing white. He rose into the air, leaving the guards with dropped jaws and widened eyes. A purple aura swiftly formed and swallowed him from head to toe. He then released a rumbling multi-colored energy blast from his palms. It pushed all of the screaming guards down the hall until they hit the wall and exploded thunderously.

"Let's go!" Lontari said, landing on his feet.

He ran down the steps and out of the lobby door, where he reunited with the others in the front yard. They all raced through the area until they burst through the doors of the gate with a giant fire blast from Axel. They thudded loudly onto the floor with a clang, being eaten up by scorching, odorful flames.

"I'll call the dragon, get ready!" yelled Axel before placing his fingers in his mouth and releasing a high-pitched whistle. Just minutes later, the dragon raced across the sky and landed on its feet.
