Tonight was going to be brutally difficult for the Perikayo army. Today, they had heard on the news what had happened in Nero. Occidifu and his gang are a real threat now, and if they don't take action soon, they could kiss their precious home island goodbye.
An army of mages in matching orange clothes stood in a large sea of rows. Their commander stood in front of them, with a serious face, and his hands behind his back. Everybody knew right off the bat that he wanted every order followed, and will pulverize those who do not comply.
"Men, we've have trouble on our tail tonight..." he said in his low, firm voice. "Occidifu and his men are in Perikayo in search of the beautiful Viridis gem."
Every soldier looked at him with nervous faces. They looked at each other, thinking about their family and friends.
"If he so much as even touches Viridis, it'll be the death of us all. So, everyone... get out there, pronto!"
Rumbling footsteps emerged outside of the building as a sea of soldiers raced towards big, orange fighter jets. As soon as the doors slammed shut, the vehicles emitted a sound of roaring, wheezing sound as they ascended into mid-air. Once they were high enough for their pilots to see the entire city, they blasted off, leaving great fog in their wake.
In the meantime, Occidifu was having a great time tonight. However, the residents of Perikayo weren't even close to that, for they angrily shot scorching balls of fire at Occidifu. But he and his team smiled and laughed as they smacked them all away like baseballs. What did these people think they were achieving?
As the army of armored men stood in the street, crowds roared at them.
"Paws off Viridis, bums!" one roared.
"One step further into our lovely borough, and we'll kill you!!"
Occidifu could not help but giggled and smirked. He was just enjoying this all too much.
"I'd love to see you try," he said coldly.
Alas, the crowd unleashed roars of fury as they darted towards Occidifu and his men. People who had their fists swallowed in flames through swift punches at them, but they ended up on the floor wailing in pain before they could ever land a hit. The armored men swayed their swords and fired crossbows. Blood-soaked bodies thudded onto the pavement, while arrows plunged through people's throats, instantly taking all life out of their souls.
A group of enraged women raised their palms, taking angry breaths as a glowing orange ball of fire grew larger and larger. Eventually, it was the size of a wrecking ball. They tossed it with all their might, but it did not take long for it to fly right back at them. It exploded into a wave of fire with a ear-splitting boom.
As a result, giant flames began spreading across the neighborhood. The fire mercilessly devoured every house and building it could touch. Instantly, they came crashing down until they were steaming piles of rubble. People and their children ran out of the buildings screaming right before they crashed down.
Finally, the orange fighter jets arrived on the scene. Soldiers began leaping out with parachutes, one by one.
In her living room, Lontari's in-game guardian was seated on the couch. Tears flew down her face as she saw Perikayo in a fire-infused state. Where was her little Lontari?
"Oh... goodness..." she said. "What is happening to our beautiful borough?"
She heard a knock on her door, wondering who that could be at a time like this. Once she said it was okay to come in, in came little Denver. The boy walked over to her and sat down to see what was happening. He saw the tears on her face, and his heart was flooded with sympathy.
