Madison's head
"MADISON! MADISON!" Elisa squealed in excitement. "You won't believe it! I got A for the hard Chemistry test!"

"Congratulations!" Madison squeaked. "I didn't do so well but I got a B."

"Even so, you improved! You got D during the midterms and now a B! Keep it up!"

"What's that you're drawing?" Madison asked as she stopped cleaning the Clubroom and peered over Alicia's shoulder.

"The second round of the Future Generation Competition," Alicia chirped. "This is my dress for the theme 'Dripping in Diamonds!' What do you think?"

"It's perfect! You should show this to Elisa to see what she thinks."
Madison's dorm room
The shrill ringing of the alarm clock filled the room, with Madison springing out of bed immediately, accidentally flinging her glasses off the bed desk in the process. When she got out of bed, she was relieved to find her glasses weren't broken with that "sudden move."

Thinking about her sudden flashbacks, she began to ponder: What am I really good at? Just flattering my only two friends?
Royal Clubroom
Opening the Doogle Forms, Elisa remarked in shock, "We have 30 recruits?!"

Madison was initially in denial and wasn't sure what was happening. She then asked, "What's the matter, Elisa? Did you stub your foot?"

"It's not that, Madison. Look at this."

Madison looked at the Google forms. Over the last few days, the Royal Club had received a crazy amount of applications, making it especially difficult to choose the five that are most deserving to be in the club. Alicia bounced up to Madison, asking her to decide who should be in the club, but Madison was overly overwhelmed by her friends' shine. In the heat of things, she ran off and out of the Royal Clubroom.

Elisa and Alicia looked at each other, asking each other:

"Alicia, did you say something wrong to Madison?"

"Elisa, did you say something wrong to Madison?"
Somewhere in Royale High
Madison continued running wildly, totally unaware of where she was running. In the process, she scrapped her knee, causing her tights to tear apart and an abrasion on her knee.

It then dawned to her, mentally and emotionally- she wasn't alright at all. Something was bothering her, yet she had no idea why she felt that way. The only question she asked herself was Is it because I'm not strong enough? Am I that bad at everything?
English class
A few hours later, Elisa was attending English class when someone whispered to her friend, "Where did Madison go? Is she out sick?"

Elisa knew something was amiss immediately. Madison wasn't sick at all; she was more than healthy enough to meet herself and Alicia at the Royal Club. If Madison suddenly ran off the scene, something bad had to be on her mind.

Standing up, the English teacher noticed immediately and warned, "Ah ah ah! Not from Ms 'Future Heir of Icia.'"

"She's my friend," Elisa retorted. "I can't brush my friend's feelings off."

"No attending to this ✨whatever that is✨ personal drama during my class." At that moment, Elisa stood rooted to the ground, turning pale and unable to speak.

Just then, a girl turned around and held Elisa's hand. "Elisa, if she's important to you, just go and be there for her," she encouraged. "If looking out for others is a part of your values, do that right thing. The right thing for you."

"I'm off." Elisa dashed out of the English classroom.
Coronation area
Sitting sombrely at one of the seats, Madison forced a smile yet felt paralysed when she heard a worried scream from nowhere. Looking around for that scream, she realised it was Elisa running in the cold.
