Part 10:New Territory

It's been a few days since Paul has become apart of my 'cult'

Everything has been well, I found more people and brought them back to base and now Paul is not so lonely anymore

He made friends with the new 'followers' well I can see why even though I'm not much of or not at all a extrovert

Days went by 1 new follower every day it's become routine at this point

I made houses for the new followers so they have a place to rest and all the essentials, I made the farm bigger with the help of Paul and his friends, I also managed to make the the water reserve into a functioning water reserve that has a pipe connected to a river, don't ask how long that took

Anyways I'm getting off topic let's get to the new stuff

I finished making a new house for another follower which they are happy with

I went to the mayor building, which was built a few days ago

I went inside the mayor build and saw Lesha who was sitting in a seat just eating

"Oh, your done Dan?" Said Lesha as she was sipping her cup of tea which she stole from my stash

"Yeah, I was thinking about exploring deeper into the forest" I said which caught the attention of Lesha

"How deep?" Said Lesha

"Pretty deep, I want to explore more of the surroundings of the base since we might need to expand sooner or later" I said as I went to my desk that had a stack of papers on it

I professionally completed the papers in a few minutes before pulling out a map that I created a few days ago

I spread the map over the desk and look around the map

"Hmmmm"

"I guess I could start going towards there" I said as I tapped my finger on a area that was blank and had a question mark on it

Although there was 4 other areas with the question mark I want to go to a certain one since it was the closest area

I rolled up the map before tucking it my robe which somehow holds stuff like a video game storage, I literally put stuff into the robe and they magically disappear then reappear when I pull my hand out of the robe, I don't question it because in this world anything that doesn't make any scientific sense can just be called ~magic~

I gathered all the weapons I needed for the trip

"Be careful Dan" Said Lesha

"...ok" I said as I walked out the door

Timeskip

I was walking threw the forest until a came across a few....frogs?

'Are those frogs?' I thought

One jumped and tried to land on me but I dodge out the way

'Ok, they are not friendly' I thought as I pulled out my double headed axe and chopped the frog into 2

When I killed the frog I noticed 3 smaller frogs behind it

I went around and chopped up the little frog

I continued my search deeper into the woods and found weird mushroom dudes?

I watched them for a bit before I entered their sight

I was expecting them to attack me but they didn't

I walked up to one of them

"Ummm hi..., I am new around here do you know your way around these woods?" I said

"No, I'm afraid I do not, also me and my friends are busy collecting mushrooms for our leader" said the mushroom follower

After he said that I paused

'Aren't you a mushroom...., is that technically cannibalism...?' I thought

"If you happen to find any mushrooms could you take it to our leader, it would greatly help us" said the mushroom follower as he showed a new location on my map

The first time I noticed that happened was when I accidentally found Ratou house

'New place to check out I guess' I thought

"If I happen to find some mushrooms I will be sure to visit" I said

After that I walked off

I explored more and actually happened to find some mushrooms

'I can probably plant these in the farm' I thought as I picked the mushrooms

After a bit more exploring it was getting late so I made my way back to base

When I got back I saw Lesha was watering a plant that was in a pot

"I'm back" I said announcing my presence

"Oh, Dan your back" said Lesha

After a bit of talking I went out outside and to the middle of the town

In the middle of the town is a big bonfire that is usually lit every night and had seats surrounding it and facing it

Lesha told me that I should make my 'followers' create a statue of me so they can worship me

I thought the idea was ridiculous and unnecessary, first off that would take a lot of time, second it would cost a lot of resources, third I would be weirded out if I saw them worshipping my statue, I mean I don't even like being worshipped in the first place, and forth one day they will go out on their own to explore the world, and find their own place

But as long as they are here I will make sure they get the proper education and training before letting them go out into the world

I barely know anything about this world so I couldn't just let them go out there if I don't know what is out there myself

I went near the bonfire as the sun was setting

All of my 'followers' gathered near the bonfire and sat down on the seats as I stood in front of the lit bonfire with Lesha stood off to my side

"I'm glad everyone made it, today I entered the forest and explored the surroundings, soon we will expand our town and power" I said as I looked around towards my 'followers'

After preaching a bit more I finished and everyone went back to their homes for the night
