"Okay read the line on the second page," the casting director Rich Delia says while I do a chemistry read with a guy they are considering casting as my love interest in the next scream movie "Okay," the curly-haired boy next to me says

"Hey, what's up?" I say reading off the script "Hey, I heard about what happened to Tara and Sam and I just wanted to know if you were okay," He says looking at the paper and then up at me

"Yea, I'm all good just a little shaken," I say looking at him "I just want you to stay safe, really keep a knife or some form of defensive weapon on you at all times, and if anyone comes at you with a Ghostface mask hurt them a bit," He says and I laugh slightly "Well since it's clean it's someone in our friend group might as well stab them all," I say and he laughs and I smile

"Just not me though," He says shaking his head with a smile "You're too sweet to be a raging killer," I say looking into his eyes and he smiles "Do you wanna hang out later? I really don't feel like fourth wheeling all night with Anika, Mindy, Chad, and Tara," I say sighing and rolling my eyes

"I wish I could but I have econ later, so I really should study for that," He says with sympathy lacing his voice "Okay, fine," I say with disappointment lacing my voice "If I didn't have an important test then I totally would," he says stepping closer to me with a smile

"It's okay, schools more important," I say and he laughs "Okay, well I should go," He says shaking his head "Okay, bye Ethan," I said tilting my head and looking at his smile

"Perfect," Rich says "Okay, now I want you guys to like hug just to see if it's like awkward or comes naturally," He says and I nod while turning to the boy, he opens his arm and I step into them and I hug him back

I melt into his arms and I feel him place his head on top of mine "I love it," Rich says and we split "Thank you, Jack, you will know by the end of the day if you got the part," he says and I guess Jack nods

"Thank you," He says to them and then turns to me "Thank you," he says with a smile "You're welcome," I say back with a smile and then he walks out of the room

"How did you feel with him? Could you feel the chemistry?" Rich says with a smile "It felt natural, he seems really sweet," I say nodding, and Rich's smile grows "I think he's been the best one today," He says and I nod "The hug definitely felt more comfortable than the rest, all of them were too scared to hug me," I say laughing and Rich nods in agreement

"Well we only have two more people today, but so far I think it's gonna be him," Rich says and I smile "Okay, sounds good," I say nodding and waiting for the next person to come in

"Hey," I say answering my phone "Great news, we found the one, and it's defiantly gonna be Jack, the one with the curly hair," Rich says on the other end of the phone "He's the one I felt most comfortable with right?" I question thinking about earlier

"Yes! We are gonna do a screen test next week on Wednesday, so in the meantime, talk to him, get to know him, and just make him feel comfortable," Rich says softly "Okay, will do," I say before he hangs up

I jump on my bed and then I open Instagram, I search for Jack Champion on Instagram, I find it, and follow him before I start to basically stalk all his photos, I come across a picture and it shows that he's gonna be in the new avatar movie, and if anyone knows me they know I'm obsessed with avatar.  I see that he followed me back so I decided to DM him

so I heard you got the role and I just wanted to say congratulations and tell you that you truly did amazing.

Jack
Thank you so much, I felt a little nervous at first but you just felt so welcoming and it really helped so thank you.

Glad I could help! I saw you're gonna be in the new Avatar movie and I just wanted to say that I'm beyond excited to watch it!

Thank you! I think you'll really like it.

I definitely will, the first movie is like probably one of my favorite movies

it was mine too, and when I found out I booked the role I was so excited
