"Okay, close your eyes," He says as we pull into an empty parking lot, "Jack, I trust you but please do not kill me," I say and he laughs
"I promise I won't," he says and I close my eyes after I step out of the car "Okay, take my arm," He says and I feel his arm touch the side of my arm so I wrap mine around his
"Okay we are gonna walk up a lot of steps so be careful," he says, and as I feel my foot hit something lightly "Okay, another step," He says each time there is a step to make sure I don't fall
"Okay, we are almost there," He says as we step onto a flat platform "Okay, one... two... three," He says and I open my eyes to see the most beautiful thing anyone has ever done for me
We were on a roof overlooking the city, and there was a table set for two, a blowup couch type of thing, and a screen projector, "We are going to eat dinner and then have a movie night," He says while I feel tears forming in my eyes out of happiness
"Do you like it?" He asks and I look at him "I love it," I say practically jumping on him to give him a hug "This is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me, thank you so much," I say pulling away from the hug and kissing him
"I'm glad you like it," He says while holding me close by my waist "I love it," I say before kissing him again
"As much as I would love to keep kissing you, our food is going to get cold," He says while laughing "What are we eating?" I say as we walk toward the table
"Pasta," He says and I laugh "My favorite," I say with a smile "Here you go," He says while pulling out my chair and I swipe my dress under my legs and sit down.
"This is truly beautiful," I say looking up at the stars "It took me about 6 hours to plan, and then I paid some guy to set it up because we were on set," He says laughing
We finished dinner after what felt like an hour because we kept getting distracted by each other. He pulled out a bag of clothes he brought so that way we'd be comfy while watching movies, he of course took pictures of me first like he knew I'd want, and then I slipped on a hoodie over my dress and laid down with my head in his lap.
"Now, there is a reason I asked you out tonight," He says while looking at me "What is that reason?" I say looking back up at him
"I wanted to ask you a question," He says and I can see the blush creep up on his face "Ask away," I say looking at him
"Hold on, I got a whole speech leading up to my question," He says laughing and I smile at him "Althea, you are truly one of the best people I have ever met, and I've met a lot of people. You never fail to put a smile on my face, even when you're just sitting there you seem to make my day better," He says and my smile is now wider than ever
"I like every little thing about you, and nothing you could ever say or do could change the way I see you because like I've said before, in my eyes you're the most perfect human ever, and I never want to go a day without you in my life so, Althea Parker Elisabeth Grey, will you do the honors of being my girlfriend?" he asks and I pull him down for a kiss
"Is that a yes?" He says pulling away "It very much is, Jack, I'd love to be your girlfriend," I say and he kisses me again.
The rest of the night was spent with us laughing, talking, kissing, and just being comfortable with one another. I have never felt this level of comfort with another than the way I feel with Jack. He makes me feel so safe and cared for that I could trust him with my life.
