"Miss your dress" eve came with a comfy night dress which I asked for while returning to my room.
"Thankyou" I said trying to start a conversation with her.
"Eve.." I called her, her back turned towards me as she continued prepping my bed for the night.
She was definitely angry with me.
"You bed is all set miss, if you want anything I am a call away." She whispered and ignored my words.
"Eve listen I am so sorry!" I said , my tears on brink.
"Why?" She said.
"You know exactly why, I didn't mean to call you that. It just came out and it wasn't directed to any of you except that douchebag" I angrily looked away.
"Don't you dare Miss!!!"
She warned me.
"Don't you dare disrespect our king!! He is everything we are left with. He has given up so much for his Kingdom and for his people..." Her breathing heavy now, turning towards me and looked at me up and down,
" and when we thought that now he will have a chance at life, a chance to happiness..but here you are hating the only man you are meant to love.. to be..." she finished in one go.
My eyes were widened, breathing stilled.
"Love...? Man?.. what are you saying??I don't even know his name...he treats you all like dirt and you still..."
I said.
"We wanted to respect him and treat him like that! I never thought a pure man like him would get such a thank less MA-" she was going to complete her sentence when a vase came crashing on the floor.
"EVE" there he was again, the reason of all this chaos.
He stomped towards eve and was ready to attack her, flashing his teeth like..like? Like an..Animal.
"How dare you say that to her, to your Queen, to your Luna and to MY MATE"
he was talking in another language, his eyes flashing colours between golden and..blue.
But wait where have I seen them before..

His face was now a lot soft then before and his eyes, to the normal colour.
He glared at me.
"What? Why are you always giving me this look huh? First in the garden and now here.." I accusingly said.
"You-" he started again.
"No you listen to me now, never and I mean never talk to anyone like that in front of me ever again. I don't care if you are a king or not.."
"And secondly tell me what this mate fuss is all about. I heard you saying it before and now Eve was also telling me something about me being your Mate.." I asked him clearly not buying any excuse he will give me.
"Shut up" like that he just said that and left me alone.
"What??" I kept standing there like an idiot. Again.
" You wait!!!! I am not going to let this go this time!!!!!" I said and marched to his room.
As I got out of my room, Beta came in front of me.
"Miss" he bowed.
"Cut the crap" I rudely said and asked.
"Where is your Alpha ruddy"
"Rudy? Ohh Alpha king ?? He is in his office probably" confused on his name at first but later it dawned on him and he tried hiding a smirk.
"Show me the way Beta" I bowed to him and looked at him.
"Of course!" He proudly said, happy to help me.

After a long walk we finally reached in front of a big door.
"Here we go" beta smiled.
"Thankyou Sir, you may go now" I said and he bowed but turned again.
"Yes.. but what is the reason for visiting him Miss, if you don't mind me asking" he asked.
"Oh ummm...um.i .. actually...I wanted to see him and ask if we would forgive for my behavior from before." I batted my eye lashes and put on my best innocent face.
" Really!?? That's thought ful Miss" he smiled genuinely and went on with his way.
I was going to knock on his door but something stoped me.
I heard Rudy pants talking to someone..
"No don't let them in, they are dangerous.."
Who was he talking about? May be the wolves..
I thought and again went on to knock but what I heard next made my blood boil.
"No humans, I repeat no HUMANS.
LET THEM DIE. Its all because of them that we are suffering..."
"Yes..it was their hunger for power, their greed that killed them and destroyed their world."
He was shouting.
"My mate is AINA and she is human.".
Ugggh!! Again this mate thing! but may be by listening more I can know what is this all about.
