Muse: Greek Actress Elena Nathanael
English Singer/ Songwriter & Singer of Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant
Time: Early Seventies[Request]
The hotel's ceiling seemed impossibly high. Eva could only imagine how exquisite the food must be if people in the city would come out to the Ritz just to dine in the extravagant restaurant.
In fact, everything about the Hotel was extravagant. From the impeccably detailed carpets to the ostentatious chandeliers that hung from the plafond. A year or so ago she would've been intimidated only by the sheer idea of such luxury, but alas, she'd become accustomed to what life entailed living amongst the upper echelon of London high society.
One thing she hadn't gotten used to, however, was the attention. Specifically the romantic attention from rich suitors from all walks of life. If she had to guess what kind of place a man like Led Zeppelin's own Robert Plant would take a lady for such a spontaneous soirée, she wouldn't have guessed a place so stiff and uppity.
"So, Evie." The blond started. "I'd like to thank you for meeting me tonight."
His face was illuminated with the yellowish-orange lights that hung overhead, lights which were somewhat unflattering, finding wrinkles across the surface of his young face.
"It's no trouble." The girl replied, reaching for her flute of Italian champagne. "I was set to come back from Greece yesterday, anyhow."
"Ooh, Greece. I've never been to Greece before. What's it like?"
"It's lovely, of course. I was spending the day with my family. Having lunch by the sea during those boiling afternoons and then basking in the warm bath of heat that came with the nightfall."
"Nothing like England, then." Robert joked, reaching across the table to deliver a rather unsophisticated slap onto the girl's shoulder.
Eva laughed though her face was scrunched into a slight wince. She just had to express what'd been plaguing her through the evening.
"This kind of place doesn't really seem quite your scene, Robert." She spoke honestly, mindlessly twirling the pasta on her plate with her surprisingly weighty silver fork.
Robert chuckled, reclining a bit in the padded chair. "Oh, why? Because I'm a crazy and wild rocker, obsessed with sex, drugs and drink?" He posed, his words seeming vexed but his tone and expression communicating amusement.
"Well, yes." Eva said simply, opting for a bite of her food.
"You aren't wrong, then." He started. "In a way, I do love fancy high-brow places like this, but what I truly love is destroying them."
His eyes started to excitedly scan the room's interior. "I mean, don't you just get the urge flip the table and break the chairs?"
Eva's eyes crinkled with one of the first genuine laughs she'd had that night. Robert took notice, pleased with the incredibly sweet sound.
