With a sigh you tossed the broom back into the hall closet before grabbing your phone and plopping onto the chair in your living room. "I am not a fan of cleaning, but I sure love the results." inhaling deeply you smiled as you recognized your favorite scent filling the air. You had picked up your phone to check the time when it suddenly chimed, taking you by surprise and causing you to fumble the device. Flipping open the phone, you read the incoming message.

'This is Ryuzaki, would it be okay to meet and discuss a few things.' You had been so busy the past few days that you had nearly forgotten when the last time you had talked to the dark-eyed man had been.

Your thoughts momentarily drifted back to the cafe, smiling while you remembered the peculiar demeanor of Ryuzaki. Then, thoughts of how nervous you had been and how awkward you had acted arose and the soft smile on your face turned into a look of embarrassment.

'It's a date. Meet at the cafe?' You typed your reply and pressed send, then held your phone waiting for his reply.

'I will be there in 20 minutes.'

"Well, he seems extra serious today. I wonder if something has happened?" As you spoke aloud you stood up and stretched before going to get cleaned up and change.

****Le Time Skip****

"Shit" The curse was quiet as it left your lips, "I hate being late." The frustration in your voice was evident as you quickly turned the corner and speed walked to the entrance of the meeting spot. Checking your phone, you saw it had taken just over 18 minutes to reach the meeting spot. "I wanted to be early, it's always weird being the last one to arrive." Slipping your phone back into your pocket, you walked into the cafe and began scanning the area until you found your date for the day.

"Good afternoon Ryuzaki." You greeted as your eyes met briefly before you took the seat across from him at the table.

"Yes, good afternoon (f/n)." He returned the greeting as his eyes lingered on you a few moments longer.

The waitress came over, looking at each of you with a knowing smile before taking your orders and returning to the kitchen area of the small building. Silence had crept into the space between you and Ryuzaki and you felt like if one of you didn't speak soon, the entirety of this date would be akin to a silent movie. How much time has went by, 5 minutes? 10? It seemed as if he had something important to discuss but maybe I just read too much into his serious tone. He is a pretty blunt guy though, so perhaps he just wanted to see me again. Thoughts came and left your mind in a quick but orderly fashion, like a line of trains being guided by a railway. However, that train of thought was broken as the waitress returned and placed your respective orders in front of you both. Your eyes focused on Ryuzaki's order as a small chuckle escaped your lips. The Ryuzaki special, you thought to yourself as you noted the man had ordered the exact same thing as last time.

"So," Ryuzaki started to speak, before cutting himself off to try his tea. A small frown formed on his features before he began adding even more cubes of sugar to the cup. "Would you like to know why I wanted to meet with you?"

"-why I wanted to meet with you?" I finished my question and observed the (e/c) eyed girl sitting in front of me. Her features seemed to contain only curiosity, at least to the untrained eye. Focusing harder, however, I thought I caught a glimpse of something more.
