Chapter 40

*Taylor's POV*

I just finished taking a picture with a fan when my phone started to ring.
I rolled my eyes and looked at the caller ID.. Unknown. I shrugged but answered because why not.
"Hello?" I said to the unknown person.
"Hello this is the hospital, is this Taylor Caniff?" Asked a women and my heart dropped.
"Y-yes what's going on?!" I asked in a panic.
"Please come here immediately" she demanded and I hung up and darted outside. I spotted a taxi and ran over to it.
"Hospital, girlfriend" I said out of breath to the foreign looking man driving the taxi.
"Oh yes, wouldn't want to miss her giving birth" he said and began to drive.
"No not that" I said frantically and he chuckled.
"It'll be ok son" he smiled and I just sat there thinking.
"Son we are here" said the taxi driver a few minutes later. 'Guess I dosed off' I thought to myself and rubbed my eyes.
"Here" I said and handed him a twenty
"Keep the change"
"Thank you son" he smiled and I hopped out of the car. As soon as I was out of the taxi I ran into the hospital as fast as I could.
"CASEY LOCKWOOD" I yelled at the front desk lady and she typed something up on her computer.
"Room 325" she said and I ran down the hallway.
"323, 324, 325!" As soon as I stopped in front of her room I yanked the door knob open as hard as I could. When I stepped inside my heart dropped at the sight.. My girlfriend laying there lifeless.
"I'm sorry but I'm afraid she's in a coma" said the doctor and I broke down.
"How long?" I managed to ask and he sighed.
"It depends" he said and the door opened.
"Doctor I need you" she demanded and he left the room. I then went over and sat next to Casey's bed.
"I love you" I whispered to her as I grabbed her small hand.
