"Okay Mrs. Parker, we're going to need you to answer some questions," Detective Lewis stated. He was sitting across from you in a small interrogation room, a cold stainless-steel table between you. He had graciously removed the handcuffs, but you shivered as you sat on a cold, metal chair. "Is it true that Justin Beaumont assaulted you last night and harassed you during work?"

"Yes," you replied, not wanting to divulge any further.

"Okay, here's what we know: Justin harassed you daily during work for over a month now. You claim that yesterday you tried to file a complaint after he touched you inappropriately, but no record of that complaint exists. A complaint does exist however, from Mauve in HR, that you were making false accusations about Justin and trying to get him fired. Then last night, around 1900 hours, he assaulted you in an alley while you were walking home from visiting Dr. Stafford's residence. You were rescued by Spider-Man, but no report was ever filed to the police. Justin was then found dead at 0300 this morning by a kid in an alley only a block from the corner store that you went to last night. Forensics show that he was killed between 2300 and 0100 this morning, around the time that you were at the corner store, meaning that you could have easily been at the scene of the crime during the murder. We have yet to find a murder weapon, but his throat was cut with a very sharp instrument in an efficient way that someone with medical knowledge would know how to do. Something that you would've known working with Dr. Stafford in the morgue. Then we found blood on a towel in your dirty clothes hamper, as well as on the bottom of your shoes. We don't have the forensics back yet, but the blood type matches Justin's. So, in a nutshell, you have motive, you have means, you have no alibi, and there is evidence piling up against you. It doesn't look good for you, Y/N." Detective Lewis stated, looking serious. You sat completely still, processing this information. You were completely dumbfounded. There had to be an explanation for how the blood got on a towel in your home and on the bottom of your shoes, but you couldn't think of one at the moment. You took a deep breath and then spoke, trying not to sound as intimidated and afraid as you were.

"Someone is framing me, Detective Lewis, that's the only explanation," you told him.

"I know, but unfortunately, the precinct has determined that I am too close to the case, so they're bringing in someone else. I'm so sorry, Y/N, but the new detective won't know you and it looks bad. You need to prepare yourself for an arrest. The boys and I will do everything we can to prove your innocence," Detective Lewis said as he stood up from his seat. He gave you a sympathetic smile and headed for the door to the interrogation room. His hand on the handle, he turned and looked at you once more. "I'll get in touch with Spider-Man. Don't lose hope, we'll prove your innocence. It just might take longer than we want. I'm sorry for what you might have to endure." With that, he opened the door and left you in the silent, cold, lonely room. It was a small room, not well lit. There was one-way glass in a window on the wall opposite you, the rest of the walls were plain grey cinderblock. The floors were polished concrete, giving the room a cold and somber feeling. The door was made of metal and painted black, a stark contrast to the grey cinderblock. You sat in a metal chair, a metal table in front of you. Two chairs sat on the opposite side of the table, currently empty. You knew that you would be sitting in this exact spot for a while. It was strange that you didn't need to think of a plan, that was for Peter and Detective Lewis to figure out, you just had to be sure not to get yourself in any more trouble or make matters worse. Now you needed to prepare yourself for what was to come. You had a million questions, but you weren't going to be able to talk to anyone, save a lawyer, so there was no need to dwell at this time. You composed yourself, sat up straighter in your chair, and steeled yourself. You knew that Peter would figure it out, you just needed to endure whatever stood in your path until he did.
