His voice still resonated in Annie's head. He was antagonizing her with so many ears around. Leah's head went blank. Though her strength was enough to push her body from harm, Annie had to keep reminding her to move. The man heavily laughed every time Annie made a move sideways, his laughter was so loud, it made the walls vibrate.

'Leah! Come on sister, you can't go away now. I need your strength. Please!' Annie appealed hoping to ease Leah's heart a bit, but she remained quiet.

People's murmurs on each side of the wall became louder.
"Knock her off already" some wanted it to be done.
"fraud" others were quite clear about how they felt about Annie.

Annie's mind couldn't decide what to to. There was no time to think when the heavy blasts of a hatchet was aiming her body. Annie gasped loudly for air, she was sweating and her heart was pounding lourder than before. Leah was retreating in Annie's mind making her a mere mortal.

Annie casted a fireball and thew at his legs knowing that it could easily be healed, but the man was quick to turn his shield on his back until then and protect his body.

"Yar gonna need marr than a fiyaball to get me on my arse lady."

Annie ran away from him again putting some needed space between them.

"What are they expecting from me?
Why did I come?"
Annie asked herself feeling her eyes burning for the first time.
"Coming here was a mistake." She told herself.

As she move backwards, she stumbled over an unevenness on the floor, but she was quick enough to jump over her heels and recover her balance.

"These people expected the "o chosen one" ready for war, but I just discovered myself that I was something more." Annie raged to herself.

Moving her hands over her chest, Annie forced her breathing into a normal rhythm then exhaled making a blast of wind strong enough to make him stumble for a second.

The man used his shield to block the wind and used his hatchet to anchor himself to the ground. As the air kept pushing him, the man used his legs to jump  sideways and get away from Annie's aim.

Having a split headache, she had undone the intricate braids and made a ponytail relieving her scalp. Now she was regretting her choice. Her hair was getting in the way and it was getting worse with every move. Worse, it was sticking over her face distracting her.

Seeing this, Annie lost her focus for a second before and when she blinked again a knife was flying at her. "You got to be kidding!" She rolled to the ground on her right and using her hands as support she moved back into a standing position. "Aren't we supposed to remain alive at the end of the day?"

She looked over her shoulder in time to see a fragment of her hair go away.

'He is trying to kill us, and no one is doing a thing. ' Leah screamed in Annie's head.

'He is following orders... they all are.' Annie told her still keeping an eye on her assailant. Her breathing was getting better by the second now that Leah was there. Annie pressed one hand to the ground and threw shattered rocks with the other making a spiral and hoping to circle him and hopefully send him to the ground.

She took a step forward to strengthen her spell and throw it, but she landed on her arse instead. The spell  followed her missed step and was aiming the ceiling. A shiver ran through her body. She didn't fell, she was knocked off. The first time she tumbled, she looked it over, but now there was nothing to explain her fall.
