Our mind can feel confused,
Like a clouded sky,
waiting for a wind to blow,
To push is into a new beginning,
into a wave of change.MJ1

In a darker room, moisture covers the perfectly carved stone walls. A man lies in the lonely metal bed. In the next room, separated by another stone wall, were high-tech machines. A sleepy man sat on a chair facing a screen where the man lay.
His chest beat, which had been slow, became faster. His eyelids moved, his ears pricked up until they caught the man's steady breathing as he disregarded his duties. Damon sat on the bed and craned his neck. He smiled. No pain. He was completely healed. He didn't need to continue his examination. It wasn't his first round, after all. He was tortured and beaten. They played games to break his mind and gather information. Information he couldn't give them because his memories were locked with a spell that needed to be spoken in the perfect tone to unlock his memories. Without it, his mind was foggy and labyrinthine. A maze that Davon hadn't been able to decipher in so many years.
His ears pricked, Damon fell back into a lying position, pretending to be asleep.
-We will see her soon, his wolf spoke in his head, eager for what was to come.
Yes, we will see our mate or whatever we have kept in our memories of her.
His saliva turned sour in his mouth.

.After the king asked him to go back through the portal, he became an ambassador between realms. He learned about the humans and sought information about them, but in the end he could never learn much. His time was counted. His wolf was restless without his mate, struggling to get out, threatening the peace and unspoken treaty between the powerful in this realm.
In a short period of time, he had to gather materials and hire humans to assemble the machinery in the Wolf Realm. When he finally made it back, he found himself face to face with a tired king. His once dark hair had turned white, wrinkles outlined his grayish obsidian eyes, and his pace had slowed. He had aged quickly. Too fast. Even after his mate's death in childbirth, he had found the inner strength to stay alive. Now the wolf gave up, but why?
The council chamber remained unmoved, Damon looking back at them one by one as the king moved to his throne. No one was surprised or worried.
Damon's heart ached. He needed to find a way to understand the wolf and set his mind at ease.
"My liege, things would go faster if I could take my mate with me. My wolf doesn't let me work and think as I should. I could be more efficient with my mate by my side." Damon tried, aware that he was pushing his luck. The king's son would never let her go.
"What do you suggest? Bring your wife there? It's not a woman's place. It's a man's job!" Davon replied without hesitation, for some reason his leash had loosened since then.
Damon looked for the king's reaction, but he didn't seem to be bothered. Had he even heard? Was the king fully present or was his mind elsewhere? His eyes seemed too wary.
"My lord, I dare not ask my wife to do my deeds. Even though I've tried, the bond between us and the goddesses prevents me from getting away for long periods of time."
Hahaha, the prince's laughter echoed through the room.
"You're not suggesting that your mate is your weakness, are you?"The members of the council shifted under stress, the air grew heavier. something was up, but what?
