Storming the Castle and Secrets

It was pitch black much like the night it had been when Caspian had fled for his life. 

He hated the castle. 

He watched as it loomed in the shadow of the night blending in with the dark. It looked unassuming but Caspian knew that as soon as they landed it was going to be a bloodbath.

He couldn't help comparing this night to the night like he left. He flew with griffins along with the Pevensies and couldn't help but watch Tyler who had a hand on his pitch black sword. They flew to the castle towers and quietly took out the guards just as Edmund flashed the light signaling the army to storm. 

All five of them dropped to the ground as Edmund looked on before continuing to sneak around the castle. Caspian and the Pevensie siblings minus Edmund headed to the professor's study and snuck in the window. Tyler moved to stand beside Caspian as they found the study in disarray. Caspian picked up a pair of glasses "I have to find him." 

Peter sighed "you don't have time." Tyler looked annoyed as Peter spoke again "you need to get the gate open." 

"You wouldn't be here with out him." Tyler looked as Caspian spoke "and neither would I." 

Tyler looked at them "I'll go with Caspian." Tyler then turned to look at Peter and Susan "you two can deal with Miraz." 

Caspian smiled at Tyler "and I can still get to the gate in time." With that Caspian and Tyler nodded to each other before taking off as Tyler followed the Telmarine prince to the dungeons.

Tyler stood at the door as Caspian found his professor before unlocking his shackles. The professor looked at him "you need to leave before Miraz learns you're here." 

"He's going to learn I'm here soon enough." Caspian spoke as he turned around "we're giving him your cell." 

The professor grabbed Caspian's wrist "don't underestimate Miraz as your father did." 

Tyler perked up and realized exactly what the professor meant a minute before Caspian did. "Caspian-" Tyler tried to warn and stop the young prince from doing anything stupid but it was too late. Caspian turned to look at Tyler and shook his head before taking off. Tyler trailed after him knowing that he most likely was going to have to stop Caspian from making one of the worst mistakes of his life. 

Tyler watched as Caspian put a sword to Miraz's neck and stood behind him and to the side a bit. Miraz jolted up "thank goodness you're safe." 

Caspian was raging and Tyler could tell from his face "get up," Caspian hissed gesturing for Miraz to rise. 

Tyler backed up to allow space as Prunaprismia spoke "Caspian?" 

"Stay where you are." 

"What are you doing?"

"What does it look like, dear." Miraz spoke to his wife before looking back at his nephew. "Some families might consider this inappropriate behavior." 

Tyler smirked knowing that was exactly the wrong thing to say to an already pissed of Caspian. He was proven right when Caspian spoke angrily "that doesn't seem to have stopped you!" 

"But you are not like me, are you?" Miraz glared at Caspian "it's sad. The first time you've shown any backbone... and it's such a waste." 

Tyler saw Prunaprismia going for a crossbow so he placed his sword at her neck "I don't think so. Caspian deserves this." Caspian looked over at the High King quickly and nodded his thanks. 

With that Peter and Susan barged in with Susan having an arrow ready to go. Miraz sighed "you know this used to be a private room." 

Tyler spoke sarcastically "and this used to be Narnia. A free land." 

Peter then looked at Caspian not understanding what in the heck was going on. "You're supposed to be in the gatehouse." 

Tyler looked at Peter and shook his head warning him that now wasn't the time just as Caspian exclaimed "No! Tonight for once. I want the truth." Tyler adjusted the sword on Caspian's aunt's throat as Caspian moved forward forcing Miraz back into the window. Tyler heard the break in Caspian's voice but he also heard the rage "did you kill my father?" 

Peter caught Tyler's eye with wide eyes and a gaping mouth not having expected any of that. Tyler just nodded before turning back to Caspian and lowering his sword considering the fact that Susan was pointing an arrow directly at Miraz's wife. Miraz looked at Caspian "now we get to it." 

Prunaprismia was stunned and confused "you said your brother died in his sleep." 

"That was more or less true." Miraz spoke and Tyler could tell that he had no remorse for the fact that he had murdered his own brother. 

Susan looked at Caspian "this won't make things any better." 

"We Telmarines would have nothing had we not taken it." Caspian's attention was brought back to his uncle. 

Tyler scoffed unable to help himself "you call us and Narnians savages yet I don't think we've ever killed our own family." 

"Your father knew that we had to take better than anyone." Caspian lowered his blade slightly realizing that his father had participated in taking the Narnians land. 

"How could you?" Prunaprismia asked looked just as disgusted with Miraz as Caspian and Tyler did. 

"For the same reason you will pull that trigger." Miraz spoke without taking his eyes off Caspian. "For our child." Prunaprismia shot and hit Caspian in the arm before Tyler wasted less than a minute and slit her throat causing Miraz to glare at him as she dropped dead. 

Caspian, Tyler, Peter and Susan called the troops letting them into the gate before the fighting started in the courtyard but it was too late as the gate started to close locking Narnians in. Peter finally yelled "fall back. We need to retreat now." 

Tyler yelled at the same time "get out of here now." Tyler watched as Susan was picked up by the cenataur and taken through the gate before he went looking for Caspian just as Caspian came through the gate with three horses giving one to Peter and one to Tyler. Tyler raced through the gate just as the gate closed on the rest of the Narnians. 

Tyler and Peter looked between the trapped Narnians and Caspian and Susan with tears in their eyes before Tyler heard Caspian yell "Peter, Tyler the bridge." The two High Kings turned back to see the bridge starting to raise, the nodded once before kicking their horses and jumping over the raising bridge and landing on the other side. 

Tyler landed next to Caspian and looked back once to see all of the Narnians he had failed one more time as the bridge closed.
