The unsettling feeling had returned. It kinda felt like butterflies in your stomach, but I wasn't nervous or sick. I don't know why I would be nervous, besides before I left. The boy's face lingered in mind for a second. It felt like he actually touched me. Y'know, I'm pretty sure I'm going insane on second thought. Yep. Totally insane. I'd prefer to go to Arkham Asylum if anything, though. Sharing a corridor with the Joker would be awesome because when he breaks out Batman would come and put him back. Yay, Batman.

"Such a little geek for a wannabe cool kid."

I turned around, staring into the dark. "Who's there?" I shouted. I started stepping back, bumping into a muscular chest.

"Hi." A male voice said, tapping on my shoulder. I jumped up, turning around.

"It's.. it's you!" I shouted again. "You're the one from my dreams!"

"Oh, so I'm your 'dream guy' now? Ooh, do I have a nice car in these dreams? What about a big house?" He smirked, taking a step into the moonlight.

I started walking backwards, gulping. I didn't know what to say, and he was starting to walk towards me. "You know that's not what I meant." I stated, trying to act confident so he couldn't get the best of me as I felt my body hit the back of a car.

"Oh, come on, sugar." He stood in front of me, a shadow of a face staring at me. "Let's have a little fun, shall we?"

Suddenly, I was in the middle of the street. I saw the strange man at the edge of my vision, lightly giggling like a small child before slowly advancing into manic laughter.

"Or we can take it the next step! Mind games!" He pulled a car key out of his pocket, dangling it in front of my face. He blew on it, and at the far end of the street, two car lights lit up the night. I felt what seemed like chains tie around my wrists and ankle. I looked down, seeing there was nothing there and yet I still couldn't move in the least. "Let's see if you can get run over by a car and live!"

"What?" I shrieked. "You're freaking insane! I'm only human, I'd die!"

"And I'm practically immortal, Fate himself. In the flesh. I'm somewhat human, too." He paused, jumping onto the hood of a car nearby. "So shut up and stop whining."

I squirmed and writhed where I was forced to lay, the car advancing too fast for it to stop.

I closed my eyes, collecting my breath.

One, two, buckle my shoe.

I heard the wheels grinding against the asphalt.

Three, four, open the door.

I heard the manic laughter of Fate himself.

Five, six, pick up sticks.

I heard my heart pounding in my chest.

Seven, eight, lay them straight.

I heard silence.

Nine, ten, a big, fat hen.

And then, I heard screaming.

I woke up in a white room.

It smelled like butts, and there was a constant beeping. So, that means I'm either a) in a hospital or b) I got put in Hell. It's probably the latter. Constant beeping, and all-white rooms that smell like butts with itchy blankets is my nails on chalkboard. And bloody teeth, but those weren't there right now.
