The Kiss

The sliding door of Gwen's flat closed on Griffin and Misery. The demon walked like a dancer towards the centre of the small living room. He took off his gloves and turned towards the large creature. He threw the gloves on the coffee table and crossed his arms. A few traces of blood still stained his cheek, his throat and his bare arms. He cocked his head to one side.

— I think you can end this charade, Misery. I know you're back.

The great creature huffed and a black fog surrounded him as he regained his human form. Griffin smiled. Without realising it he took a few steps towards Misery, devouring him with his eyes. He had missed him. He recovered quickly. He wasn't one to beat about the bush

— Why did you hide?

Misery rubbed the back of his neck.

— You're not going to let it go, are you?

The demon shook his head.

— You know perfectly well why.

— And you know perfectly well why I don't want to talk about it.

Griffin shifted in his mood.

— It always comes back to Gwen. Gwen is so sensitive, so innocent, so...pure. But you want me to tell you, that's bullshit!

Griffin made a few extra steps towards the Cerberus, almost touching it, and blew at it.

— He was just as excited as I was by the nice movie you sent us in the shower.

Another step, invading his space, their eyes locking.

— So this is how you imagine us? Is this how you want us? Because it's not just Gwen, is it?

He put his hands on Misery's chest and slowly moved them up.

— You want me too...

Griffin pressed against him, his hands knotted behind his head. Misery didn't move. Their mouths were close enough together to share the same gulp of oxygen. Griffin continued more and more sweetly.

— Unlike Gwen, you can do this to me and more... I'll never escape.

With his eyes half open, Griffin finally kissed Misery. He didn't force it, but instead tried gently to see the Cerberus' reaction. Misery was lost in a mixture of conflicting feelings, he didn't know what to do. He was dying to give in but was dreading Gwen's reaction. When the warm, fleshy lips touched his, he sighed shakily, his barriers and resolutions forgotten. Griffin held back a sigh of relief at not being pushed away and tilted his head, moving his lips gently. He knew he had to go slowly. He tightened his embrace around Misery's neck and he shuddered. Boldly, Griffin pushed his luck and grazed Misery's lower lip with his tongue. And that was what made him snap. A rock—hard arm encircled his waist, pressing him against it while a tender hand ended up on his cheek to bow his head. Misery's hungry mouth took Griffin's with desire... with need. The kiss was fiery and burning. Lips mishandled, tongues mingled and breaths erratic. As Griffin's pleasure and need grew and he struggled to control his body, the kiss continued. Misery cupped the demon's face to slow the kiss and slid them onto the back of his neck. Griffin pulled away to catch his breath and plunged down on his mouth again. His face was held and a subtle click sounded as the Cerberus closed the collar. He continued to kiss the demon for the slight shiver that announced the change in personality. He continued to kiss Gwen while he was conscious. The Cerberus felt Gwen tense and stiffen in his hands. Misery slowly savoured his lips and tongue for a few more seconds before gently releasing him. He still held him between his arms, resting on his shoulders.

— I'm home, Gwen.

Gwen blushed. Gwen blanched. He stammered. Misery held back a sigh before moving away and giving him space. The Cerberus turned to the small window because he didn't want to make things worse by looking at him like he was pressuring him. He knew Gwen wasn't as open and receptive as Griffin. But how could he resist the demon who was offering him what he wanted so badly? That kiss had been everything he wanted. It had tasted like too little. The lips, Gwen/Griffin's body... his breath, this impatience yet not without sweetness. Couldn't he have had a little of both? Frustration coloured the bond a crimson red mixed with blue. Gwen hiccupped and put his hand over his heart. He felt. He felt Misery fully. Was he the one who was causing this in Misery? Was it always this strong? Why now? What had changed? He knew, didn't he? Griffin loved the Cerberus... but so did he and Misery seemed to like them both. Gwen bit his lips. He was sensitive after the kiss they'd shared. When Tragedy had relegated him to the background and he'd realised why Griffin was taking his place, he'd buried himself so he couldn't see or hear. Yet he felt Griffin's feelings. Griffin liked it, not from sexual pleasure but from a cold sadistic side. He knew the demon could be deliberately cruel and hungry for blood and violence, it was part of him... yet this time Gwen had felt something else entirely. More like the satisfaction of a job well done. Time to analyse all this and Gwen found himself inflamed by the terrifying demon desire. Griffin wanted Misery... and he'd had him. Gwen had been swept away by the demon's desire. Pushed back into the depths of his head and Gwen had moaned. He too wanted Misery. He'd fed on every little crumb Griffin let pass from the experience of kissing Misery. But when it came to projecting forward while Griffin was repelled by the silver necklace spell, Gwen had been overwhelmed. Overwhelmed by Misery's passion, by his own awakening and that he didn't know... the heat of the body, the boiling breath between their lips, the mutinous and dominating tongue... but Misery had ended the experience too quickly. Maybe because of him... probably because of him. His body had stiffened in the embrace, afraid that if he gave in he would never be able to stop. Misery hadn't understood and now Gwen could see the tense back of his Cerberus and the vibrating bond between them. It was up to him to speak. To move but for now...
