a few days prior...
gojo's cerulean eyes watched you as you spoke.
"satoru, me and geto will start thinking about who it could be. you stay here, get some rest, okay?"
gojo nodded, almost child-like, as he listened to what you were saying. you leaned down to place a simple kiss on his head before quickly leaving.
gojo smiled inwardly, thankful that he had someone like you in his life. since he had known, you had always been a reassuring presence by his side. and despite the current situation he had placed you in, he really did you love you platonically.
his ocean-like eyes followed you as you departed from the room, leaving him and suguru in silence. however gojo did not fail to notice how suguru's eyes followed you too.
"you sure you're better now satoru?" geto questioned, as refocused his eyes on his friend.
"yeah, i'm sure," he replied. gojo tilted his head to the side as he continued, "are you good suguru? you've been different lately."
"different?" geto questioned with faux confusion.
"yeah," gojo shrugged, "just different."
gojo had noticed the changes in his friend's behaviour. how suguru had lost weight, how he had been speaking less and less. he wasn't sure if suguru knew that he knew but satoru was worried. with suguru, he had a friendship like no other. something so deep that it truly felt as if they were brothers. it was as if those two could only fully understand each other. sure, you were also one of his closest and dearest friends but that had developed over the years you had known each other. when satoru met suguru, something had just clicked.
so when gojo had noticed the changes his friend seemed to be going through, he didn't know what to do. whether to bring it up and risk geto shutting it down and put on a facade or to not speak of it at all and risk it brewing within geto's mind.
but then, the issue of his stalker had arrived.
so moments like these were all he could manage.
geto smiled, though it didn't seem to reach his eyes, "don't worry, i'm good satoru."
gojo gave a single nod in response and geto took that as an end to the conversation. softly he turned to close the bedroom door, leaving satoru in silence.
